I had this done to my 69 Newport convertible Replaced the master cylinder with a new one. Added a disc booster pump with a proportional valve. Works great and has no problem stopping this beautiful work of art.

I kept my 383 added an edelbrock, holli 650cfm 4bbl and headman headers. Dual exhaust Sound incredible looks great. Goes when I want it to but mostly I use it to cruise around and make heads turn. Your car is beautiful.

Yes you were correct. It was the ballast resistor. Big John, Halifaxhops, and 413 reinforced this, simply put I did not know where the ballast resistor was located or what it looked like.

While the ballast resistor corrected the run issue, I still need to use the button to start the car. Going to check all the wiring it should not be that difficult. The original mechanic replaced the starter relay I’ll go with the thought that this is good and trace the wiring back to the key to...

Ballast resistor

This is old school points not electronic I ordered a new balast resistor and a new coil condenser.

The ignition switch

I dropped the ignition switch out of the dash. Put the key on turned to start. Car started right away (engine is awesome) but as soon as I let go of the key the car stopped
