Well folks, I decided a while back that if the right offer doesn't come my way for this thing by the end of the month, I'm keeping the car and it'll undergo a few key mods to make it the best winter rig it can possibly be. Looks like that might end up happening :os_dancing2:

At some point, it'll get a fuel injected H.O. 302, T5 transmission, and an Explorer rear end (31 spline, 3.73 gears, and the slightly wider track width I need to run 235s in the rear on stock wheels without rubbing the springs, all from the factory).

I've had no problems with my Maverick. It's even good in the snow, but it lacks ground clearance, which sucks when snow plows go past my house and send all the snow from the road into the end of my driveway. I hate to say it... but I considered it haha

I wasn't talking about the NYB. Somone had asked me what was so special about my Maverick.

I've also considered pulling the motor and trans for my own use on a later project and selling it as a complete roller, but once again, not sure what would be a realistic figure to ask for it if I did that.

It's in near immaculate, unrestored condition and I have all of the original paperwork from its sale, including the pamphlets that came with the car, all the "instruction" manuals, the window sticker, and a copy of all the loan paper work. I know what the general trade value I'm going for is, that's what I prefer to do since (in my experience) it's easier to trade for something a little nicer than get someone to just pay you more cash for what you've got. Hell, that's how I got this thing.

If this is in the wrong place, I apologize. I'm curious, though, as to what you guys think I should ask for my Chrysler New Yorker. As much as I want to hang on to her, it's becoming obvious that a 4wd SUV or fullsize pickup truck would be much more useful for us. That means that one of my cars...

I love that Deep Wedgewood Blue, one of the better OEM colors ever created, IMO.

It's the last of the big body-on-frame cruisers and they're tough as nails. Ex-police cruisers are cheap, too.

I think that'll probably be the best bet, too. I pulled the dash apart a little bit and it looks like it'll be really simple to demo out the old wiring and install a completely fresh system.
