    evans waterless coolant

Jay Leno uses it in his vehicles. I considered it, but balked at the price and such. For somebody with a fleet and a good local supplier, it might save money after the initial installations.

1976 New Yorker 440 spark plug help

The 1978 Chrysler FSM I bought at a swap meet is one book as the 1970 FSM is (for my DH43N0D), my '66 and '67 Chrysler books are. Same format in all of them. Spark plugs listed in the "Ignition" section. Perhaps, in some years, they made two books as some dealers didn't need "everything"? FWIW

    Ignition switch lock loose

Just as the release pin must be depressed and the ign cyl turned to release it, there should be a similar procedure to put it back in and lock it in place. Until that "lock-in" happens, it might release itself, I suspect.

CHRYSLER letters for hood 1967-1968 interchange

Never have investigated this, but the best resource would be the Chrysler Parts Manuals for those years, I suspect.

1976 New Yorker 440 spark plug help

I'm not sure what the prior owner did, or why, but the long-reach LA motor plugs never have been installed in the B/RB motors at any time in their life. Maybe a bad auto supply parts person? Or a bad "guaranteed to fit, with modifications" eBay listing? The saving grace might have been the...

    72 Polara Door Seal Replacement

Yes, specially if they were originally packaged in a smaller box! Folds and bends are not too bad for a year or so, but THEN with extended time, they can "take a set" and be difficult to remove when the part is taken out of the box, by observation. Back in the later 1970s, our '72 Newport...

    1950 Chrysler Imperial swap help.

I was referring to the bolt pattern on the back of the block, which is what the old-line Chrysler service manual told me, back then. At the time, he did not mention the rear crank flange issue, although that would certainly be an issue.

    1950 Chrysler Imperial swap help.

EEEEEWWWWWW!!!!!! Tissue rejection!!!! It might take several months to get that chevy powertrain transplanted, even temporarily. With the same time and money, the Chrysler engine can be up, running, and getting other things done to it. In the middle 1970s, I helped a friend get a '50...

Pioneer cassette deck for the wagon

May need to look for the owner's manual online, too. Might check Crutchfield for a "fit kit" or similar? Does it have an internal amp?

    Heater switch resistance questions

Consider "trouble shooting" an "adventure, fact finding, and exploration" operation. To see what is going on or NOT going on. More fun that way. CBODY67

    72 Polara Door Seal Replacement

You can probably find "roll goods" weatherstrips in the back of the Steele Rubber catalog that might match close to what is on the car. From there, some miters at the top corners and grafting on the A-pillar and C-pillar ends to the new rubber, might be your only choices. In some cases, the...

    Brake light

There can be two reasons. One @Big_John just mentioned. The other one is the brake system warning light SWITCH in the pressure block below the master cylinder (on a dual master cylinder OEM brake system). If one end of the system lost pressure, the internal switch moves off-center and turns...

    66 A727 torque converter 19 spline.

Thanks for the additional information. Never did hear about any Clean Air Package information related to a different torque converter, when the system was being described in the magazines or Chrysler service literature. Only engine modifications to carb calibration and the ignition vac advance...

77 Newport Dash lights (first Car)

The red LED warning lights on the gauges are there to advise of "out of normal range" situations on each gauge. Triggered by switches on the individual gauge needles, I suspect. If the needles move far out of the normal or bad range, they also go out. I found that out one time on the temp...

Where to buy good Holley 2210

Thanks for the pictures. NEVER was an electric choke on that motor. There is a small clip that holds the choke thermostat rod to the pivot mechanism. Does the pull-off still hold vacuum, or does it leak? Does the choke plate hang on the carburetor body as it closes? BEFORE you spend money...

    Heater switch resistance questions

Usually, the blower motor is the main reason for "no blower motor". As long as the three resistors are still intact, their particular resistance values are not really important. Can you hear the motor physically "thunk" with each speed selection by the switch? Just some thoughts, CBODY67

Where to buy good Holley 2210

With the 1973 or so 2245 chokes, the chokes were "electric assist", but still a divorced choke configuration. Not an electric choke that mounts on the rh side of the carb. 2245 is a 2210 configured for factory EGR. Sounds like the PO did a deal on that carb. I personally like them for being...
