No doubt it's a serious request... and I understood what he meant. It isn't meant to being negative or critical, (not that I believe you think that) but meant as a friendly hint that that we are a broad group of people with different thought processes. Myself, I have a hard time remembering...

    Newbe

Just wanted to introduce myself. We have a 1968 FURY III convertible that we bought about 3 years ago. It's work in progress but is drivable and in relatively good condition. Looking forward to looking through the forum and searching on things that I have questions on from time to time. The car...

    1962 Chrysler 300 383 build

Good morning I need a recipe for a 383 rebuild. I plan on keeping the crankshaft and stock bore but I need a list of all else to put it together. Aftermarket heads are ok. I was looking at the edelbrock top end kit. Bearings Rods Pistons Rings Heads Intake Carb Headers (that will fit) Ignition...

Rebuilding my 1966 Plymouth Sport Fury...

Hey thanks for that thorough reply.. I already have the interior trim panel off, along with the armrest, window cranks, etc.. what I am asking about, is then further taking the door apart, to access everything. My manual shows all the inner workings, as if interior shell is gone.. I’ll take...

    What's the diff

Inner axle seals at rock auto. Yes pack the rear bearings in grease. Since the gear oil washed the grease out they need repacked now.

That is true for most folks, but in my case I react quickly to DL27 and L2B3. I took it as a serious request :)

    Factory spare tire cover.

I don't have any pictures currently but my 74 New Yorker has molded black trunk carpeting on the floor, sides along each quarter and rear tail panel with a matching carpeted tire cover.

    What's the diff

Check the Factory Service Manual about the need (or lack thereof) to pack the rear wheel bearings with grease before installation. Just a precaution. Some use the axle's gear lube for their lube as others might not. Enjoy! CBODY67

Rebuilding my 1966 Plymouth Sport Fury...

Unless the weatherstripping is failing, no need to remove it to do the slides, as I understand it. Yes, some white plastic clips to attach the w/strip to the door, but they are inserted into the weatherstrip (cut holes in the rubber into which the clips are inserted) and if you pull hard...

SMS is probably the only source but it will probably just be for the material and you'll have to have a interior shop sow it up. Get samples first. One suggestion is that a lot of us don't speak or think in "numbers". The VIN and interior code is cool and often helpful to post, but " '70...

vintage pics of women & cars

This one is fake as well. Note the front fender emblem says "Super Sport". That is a 1967 emblem. For a 1970, it should either read SS396 or SS454 there. The lady has zombie eyes, and her hand wraps weirdly around his with the handshake; like extended fingers. We demand more accurate ai slop!

    Factory spare tire cover.

Back when I was looking for a spare cover for my '70 300, I came across those style covers being reproduced. For example, Legendary has them. 1962/1976 Chrysler Spare Tire Cover - 14"-15" Houndstooth - Legendary Auto Interiors They kind of piqued my interest at the time and I did a little...
