Can shocks with springs affect ride height?

My 74 NY came from the factory with them being a government car to prevent bouncing when a politician had his secretary along.

Restoration of my families grocery getter

Welp it wasn't freezing in Chicago, but it wasn't beach weather either. Put on the insulated Carnharts and reinstalled the regulator and tailgate latch. Just need to figure out how the drivers side actuator rod connects to the door lever. While off found the cloth anti rattle sleeve...

    1966 Chryser 300 fender tag

I see we have beat on this before. I will carefully review the thread.Sorry for any repeat questions. I hope my decode was helpful on the bucket seats questions. Both powered and clad in black vinyl--and under a black vinyl top?.

    1966 Chryser 300 fender tag

I admire, appreciate and use the '66-'67 decoder but it is focused on Dodge Chargers and is less precise on other '66 MoPars.as its author states. Looking at the tag, I see a6: Console; b5: power bucket seats-LH & RH (ref:'66 Imperial codes b4 would be LH power seat only powered); f6: rear...

    1971 300

Excellent find @cuda hunter. The roof skin, A & C pillars and dutchman panel would save a 69-71 New Yorker - 300 - Newport. Grab the heater controls and heater box. Too hard to find and very rebuildable. Prone to breaking.

NOT MINE 1962 Imperial Coupe on BaT - No Reserve!

Ok thanks mate.I agree about taking it off for the photo shoot. It would also make the pic a lot more appealing.Scrubbed out shots are mentally dumbing down peoples opinion of the vehicle, on a subconscious level I believe.

Can shocks with springs affect ride height?

Those shocks were probably installed because the leaf springs are worn out or the previous owner got tired of the rear of the car scraping the ground all the time. Or, because he frequently carried extra weight in the car. Regardless, installing ordinary shocks will lower it.

Thank you. Note that one has to upload a photo of one's Mopar, even if one is not bringing that car to the event.

    Welcome, AaronWaverly

Hello, happy to be here. I live in Minnesota and own a '70 Sport Fury. I'm a Mopar fan/ owner for almost 40 years. I love them large. My current and only Mopar at the moment is "Betty" we've been together 30 years this June. My facebook account was hacked this year and I will not be returning. I...

    1978 Newport... replacing ball joints

If you get all the parts together, I can do the job here. I am in Toronto. I would be very surprised if you don't need lower control arm bushings. How rusty is the car?
