Tips for a young guy? What’s next?

You mentioned body bushings: from my research, can't find any. However, lots of guys have taken hockey pucks, split em down the middle to half thickness, drilled holes in the middle and used them and reported great results. I'm not there yet but likely the route I'll be taking.

Copper foil tape: a good fix for aged circuit boards!

Greetings C-body Moparians! This evening I rejoice in having found the failure point in the turn signal circuit on Gertrude, our 1968 Newport ragtop. I had surmised late last year that the long summer heat had damaged the new Shee-Mar turn signal switch I had replaced the original with just 2...

Thanks for the nice comments. As far as the engine it’s a rebuilt stock 318. I did add the bling to make it look good at shows. I plan on driving the car a lot and have no desire to race it. Since mileage was a goal I stuck with the original 318. Here’s the A Body Dart Sport in 1976...

Pair of 1968 300's tag decode

I posted the 2 tags in this thread, they were being discussed on FB. The ratty-looking tag belongs to this car: Located in Greeneville, TN. Top photo was taken off google street view, no idea when. There's been some interest in parting it out, doesn't seem like it's going to be a...

Plymouth Steering Wheels - Quality Restorations,Inc This company in San Diego does good work. It's not cheap but I can't think of many things you directly interact with more than the steering wheel, additionally it's right in front of you to look at the entire time. The Chrysler wheel is...

NOT MINE 1968 Plymouth Fury Sport Convertible$1,000Listed 28 weeks ago in Madera, CA

"Listed 28 weeks ago in Madera, CA"...? I'm surprised I haven't seen this one in my last several months searches, oh so much for the search engines. I'll bet it's already been sold at the price listed and it's just a stale AD. Anyways here's the pic's. I just noticed, headrest car seats, rare...

old and new Thermostat tests with questions

If the engine "sounds great" when cold, but does not when it gets warm, that can definitely indicate wear issues somewhere, to me. "Valves or lifters" do not really "rattle", they "tick" instead. Which can mean that as the engine has warmed (oil temp usually takes 10 miles to approach engine...

old and new Thermostat tests with questions

Get that Edelbrock 180 F thermostat if you can't find a RobertShaw 370-180. I see that Flowkooler now sells a sleeve to adapt the more common 330-180 to the B/RB 370 size. I suspect your bores will be scuffed up and filthy with unburned fuel deposits if some one ran that motor with a 160 F...
