to answer your question; no here's an old battery test for an old car, with the engine off, turn on your headlights and honk the horn, if it honks then there's enough battery current to crank the engine (and thus the no start is not the battery at that point. If the horn doesn't honk or weak...

We'll see what happens when I actually can get the car. I'm hoping to find more parts for it. Hoping to get the motor and matching parts as well. Who knows though. Retired. Hasn't offered the extra parts, yet.

My 68 Fury 318 still has one of these 'rubber' shafts, it has 192k on it, the last ~10k behind a good-running 69 440 that gets stomped occasionally. You can still get new LH lugnuts if you search around.
