    We have lost Rip

Rip was indeed at the 2022 C-body Show organized by @sixpkrt -- he and I came together. I was in Illinois already, and picked Rip up at Union Station in Chicago. He had taken the train that runs from Washington, DC to Rockville (near his Garage Mahal) to the Windy City, and was ready first thing...

    Steering wheel position

The steering column in a 69 C-Body in not inline with the center of the car, the left side of the steering wheel is closer to the dash than the right. It may be hard to see in this picture but the steering gear points to the side. Alan

WANTED 1969 Dodge Monaco A/C condenser

Thanks a lot a new one is shure great but i patched the A/C system out of used spare parts together, most parts came from a 69 newyorker, so i don't know if it will ever work. To get the R12 here in switzerland is very hard. And for a 134A conversion i don't know if i can keep the stock compressor

    We have lost Rip

So sorry to hear @ayilar . I first met him in person at Carlisle 2018 during the BoaB World Tour. He sat with us and told how he followed my build from the start to finish. I think he was at the FCBO shows? SAd day indeed. Rest in peace my friend.

    Steering wheel position

Can you lay a board across the steering wheel that sticks out both side windows, then measure from the board to the front of each window? If the measurement is the same this could indicate that it's just an optical illusion caused by the shape of the dash. Also, maybe the position of the dash...

Those are universal. Probably 2nd choice to factory. I'll have to check and see application compatibility with what I got. Unless someone knows, same as 70,71?

The first time to drive a C body.....69 New Yorker

First C body ride? Dads 68 New Port. 383 four door. Good car. Over the 60k miles and 40 years we had the car it got an idler arm and a p/s pump o-ring. That was preceded by a 64 full size New Port four door 361. I don't remember any repairs with that car. Just lots of oil and filter changes...

The first time to drive a C body.....69 New Yorker

First time that dad got to buy a big car too. I was 17 and had a 66 Belvedere II with the poly teen at the time. Dad was a Mopar guy but didn't work on them :( and tried a little to encourage me to make enough money to not have too work on my own cars but wasn't having anything to do with that...
