Hi Dave thanks for the info. I was able to get it figured out, the slotted piece was the adjustment wasn't easy but I got it close.

I guess I should have explained that my car is a 66 Plymouth Fury III I haven't noticed any wire that you pointed out

I did find a slotted piece of metal that connects to the steering column but that didn't make much difference. I had to move the shifter to get to the bolt, is there any thing behind the speedometer

Can anyone explain to me how to adjust the shifter needle to align with the proper letter in the speedometer cluster . Thanks for any help Skeeter66

no this car had the problem when i purchased it at least this gives me an idea where to start to try and solve the problem

my switch does not have any clicks I guess you control the speed by turning the switch

I have a 66 Fury III my wipers only have one speed {fast} and they will not go back to the resting position is this problem in the motor or the switch. thanks for any help Skeeter 66
