    Cam Concerns 68 Polara w 383

Nobody ever suspected that some cam vendors were using a common Chevy lobe in their cams for other brands, until Hughes Performance made a big deal of that when they came out with "Chrysler cams with Chrysler lobes" in the 1990s. After they had introduced their "Quench Dome Pistons" ( to...

    1971 300

The other likely option for this car is, the 440 gets picked up, a couple parts too. Then the car gets crushed when the owner cleans up. There is other scrap in the background to make it all crusher bait.

See here for an example: SOLD - 1973 Chrysler Radiator You may also want to reach with the part number(s) that would fit your car on eBay, Kijiji and Craigslist. Note that the part numbers can be written in one string of 7 letters, or two strings (3+4 letters). Try both.

This experience has been a learning experience for sure but I’m happy with the process. As I’m discovering parts for the c...

    Shocks

Someone on the ForwardLook part of this forum had good luck using his drill press to compress and secure the shock in the collapsed position. The last time I installed those shocks on one of my cars they came compressed and tied so I have no other suggestions.

    We have lost Rip

Scott @LocuMob is standing to Rip's right, and seen three people to his left in the photo. Two friends lost in just a few weeks, who were great contributors to this site. Here is a 2016 photo from Carlisle, showing Rip with his trademark hat. Paging all the folks who are in the photo and...

    The 1973 Chrysler Thread

I recently replied to a question from @Newport73 about radiator part numbers for our cars, and thought it'd be helpful to post the dataset that I have for 1973 C-bodies with 360 / 400 /440 engines in the present thread, to enable easier searching. The info comes from an Excel spreadsheet that I...

NOT MINE 1968 Dodge Monaco 500 440 $12k CAD / $8.3k US Red Deer Alberta

318 Monaco 500 converted to 440 might be a theme up here in the great white north. Mine courtesy of a PO has the interior out of a 318 car, the body of 383 car and the 440 out of a 77 NYR. Given the winter corrosion issues here and the prevalence of B and E Body powertrain scavengers, it...
