Not to muddy the water, but the service manual can be wrong. The '67 Chrysler service manual, of which I have an original copy, shows VIN letter K as the special order (TNT) 440, but letter K in reality is the standard 440.

Not sure if this one has come up before: ads Hurst VIN CM23U0C1944025. Mileage: 48,063. 440 TNT. Sadly, the proud owner has passed. He enjoyed driving this and would love to have seen it go to someone who will cherish it as much as he did. Bought in 2016 from Jay Fisher Car is in mint condition...

OOOOooooooo.....we have a MYSTERY! Great story, thanks. The red in the grille is a huge clue. It should be School Bus Yellow which was applied by hand by a Hurst guy over top of the red 300 paint. That yellow paint began to flake off a decade or two later, and I suspect that owners might have...
