    New Yorker burnout

What makes me cringe now is seeing an open 1 leg burnout...now that I know the carnage a few to many of those will do to the carrier.

Is this normal on my 72 Fury rear taillight lens?

I'd say it's supposed to be there and I would not remove it. It's there to block the light from the tail/brake light from lighting up the reverse lens and vice versa. Here's one for sale and you can see the black in the same spot, albeit more faded. Yours happens to be in better shape. For...

Is that about double what the car cost new? What was the cost of it factoring in any options it had?

860 Commmonweath Ave, Boston, MA. Lotta cool, old ex-dealership buildings still around there getting on 90+ years later.

Is this normal on my 72 Fury rear taillight lens?

The title is self explanatory. I have what looks like black paint near the backup section of my Fury light lens. See photos I took. I don’t think it’s meant to be there. I guess checking the other lens first would have been an idea too. If it’s abnormal what do others recommend to clean light...

    New Yorker burnout

...they dont compromise others/innocent bystander safety (not always the case, unfortunately), they can "knock themselves out" .. so to speak. Cases in point for sh*** & giggles: some burnouts (five minutes) gone bad. Near as I can tell, thankfully, only cars & egos and & wallets were...

ENGINE removal question on 66 Chrysler 300

I agree, although I would put a thin piece of plywood between the engine and the condenser. I've also removed the water pump housing so that I have even more room. I figure it's coming off anyway, so get it out of the way.

    318 4-barrel from the factory?

Interesting information... thank you. I don't mind being an "imposter" with a tweaked 318, but I don't want to get caught telling folks it's a 360. I might get chased out of the cars and coffee for that sort of thing. ;)

ENGINE removal question on 66 Chrysler 300

You don't need to remove the A/C condensor. I like to remove the fan so it's out of the way, doesn't get damaged, and makes it that much shorter.

    318 4-barrel from the factory?

Easy to take an existing decal and change the displacement numbers, On the later LA318s, the "four barrel" was an emissions-version Thermo-Quad. Initially many were for "High-Altitude Emissions", but were expanded in later years. Rather than to brag about a 318 4bbl, might it be better to...

    Factory 4-Speed-C-Body-Photo-Thread

My 325 horse 4 barrel 383 in 66 had that single snorkel, but it also has single exhaust. Was there a dual exhaust 383 available in these cars, or just the high output 413-440 cars got duals? I know that the small diameter black unsilenced air cleaner would be right on this 65, but I think they...

    318 4-barrel from the factory?

The call out decal was not an original Chrysler Corp thing. The 318 4 bbl was made by Chrysler Corp...engine code E46. As mentioned it started out in the late 70's as an option. Often seen in M bodies.
