The 318-4 bbl package was introduced in 1978 for California vehicles with 318 engines. The guys at the Chrysler proving grounds in Michigan were the ones who released final emission calibrations at that time, and they only introduced 2 bbl 318 engines for California that ran like crap, so bad...

And the subframe has the parking brake cable and brake lines to remove also. You can remove front suspension from the subframe or K member just fine when it's in the car.

If the engine needs rebuilt, doesn't all the suspension parts need to be addressed as well? Besides, my first post wasn't much different than what others posted. But if the engine has issues, surely the suspension does too. Just saying!

Since the Ambassador is still using points then as soon as it got the car I did a search for NOS and old OEM points and condensers. Was able to to acquire 5 sets for the AMC and while at it four sets for Fords in case. The points in that AMC run just fine. I'll keep my mouth shut about...
