    318 4-barrel from the factory?

I have a stock healthy 4 door 75 Dart Custome 318 automatic with 32k miles. It gets 14 to 18 mpg. Is there any chance of improving the mpg with carburetor and distributor timing curve changes? I've not made any changes to distributor timing curve or carb mixture. It runs very well and has much...

Dual belt alternator pulley set up

It would appear the only way to get a dual belt setup for the alternator is with a a/c compressor mounted to get the belts mounted high enough?

Try to punch them sideways without putting a hole in them, then pull them out.

    Factory or Not?

Early wheels were retained by lug bolts and the hub and had a locating pin that registered with the hole in the rim. Lindsay

I think we could all agree that this 2-3 sec of this scene is pretty cool. But to me, the best few secs is this one, from the famous 'Lower Wacker Drive' chase. (just a few secs at the timer mark, shot from the sidewalk as the car flies by) I've not researched it, so I could be wrong, but it...

That's a rubber expansion plug. While it's not the best way to replace the core plug, it's an OK option when you can't get at the plug to knock a new one in. Unless it's leaking, I wouldn't be in a huge rush to replace it. I've had them in a couple used cars and they lasted as long as I...

That's great information and much thanks for sharing it. I'll put out an updated Registry (in this thread The Hurst Registry ) in a few days when I get done sifting some other data. Deleting the private messages is definitely a bit of a hassle. Let me see if I can talk you through it. Click...

If any of the other frost plugs show signs of corrosion, then the R&R of the motor is your best option. The rubber plugs are a temp fix. If one of the steel plugs failed, chances are the others are not far behind. Replace with brass. Not the end of the world, you can re-gasket the bottom end...

@CHARLES374 Notice in the location where the vinyl top is noted, Usually V1X or V1W This notation on the tag is EW1 Which is a paint code. The V02 Designates the top as a painted top instead of vinyl, hence the Two Tone Paint code v02. The paint color will always be posted where the vinyl...
