Check out the wrecking yards as Ross suggested. When I was looking for 65 Fury parts here in Phx. I ran across several 66'S. I know several of the 65's I salvaged parts from had the guides and they may also fit the 66.

Have a GTO in Arizona, bought in California four years ago with plate that says 1966GTO. No plate required here in Arizona so my car has a California plate in front! Hmmmmm!

On my 65 and once I got the end caps removed which were held on with a screw, I was able to slide the mouldings one way, butterfly clips underneath, and then the other repeatedly until they were removed. Worked for me and put them back on the same way. Kinda like a little puzzle.

Pulled the fuel pump off and I was amazed at how the end riding on the camshaft was worn down, 1/4- 3/8", and was jagged. Took the rod out and put the pump back on just to seal the hole and changed to oil because of potential metal. I installed an electric fuel pump and have ordered and going...

I have had my suspicions because it is a Griffin and customer friendly and standing behind their products is not any of their virtues. I have basically the same set up in my 66 GTO and it works great so it has been puzzling. Taking it to an expert in a week or so and should get some resolve...

Go to an auto parts store and get body undercoating and coat the whole tank. East Texas, a lot of moisture and a lot of rain. Top of the tank is the problem, not the bottom because moisture will get trapped between the liner between the tank and the car body but but will take years to rot out...

A gas tank will rot from the top where the moisture is trapped between the tank and the liner assuming you put a liner between the body and the tank.
