Bigger master cylinder bore decreases pressure at the wheel and decreases travel at the pedal.

    318 4-barrel from the factory?

In 1981 my healthy stock 1979 Chevrolet Camaro Berlinetta with 305 automatic (two barrel/four barrel?) repeatedly got 24 mpg at 65 mph. The car had 70k miles on it. Nice little car it was. A pretty bronze color. I bet the aero dynamics were not near as bad as my 1975 brick Dart are. Carter two...

    318 4-barrel from the factory?

I have a stock healthy 4 door 75 Dart Custome 318 automatic with 32k miles. It gets 14 to 18 mpg. Is there any chance of improving the mpg with carburetor and distributor timing curve changes? I've not made any changes to distributor timing curve or carb mixture. It runs very well and has much...

What year does the sure grip come from? Back in the early 60s the spacer block in the diff center section was not the same size on both center units.

The first time to drive a C body.....69 New Yorker

First C body ride? Dads 68 New Port. 383 four door. Good car. Over the 60k miles and 40 years we had the car it got an idler arm and a p/s pump o-ring. That was preceded by a 64 full size New Port four door 361. I don't remember any repairs with that car. Just lots of oil and filter changes...

I don't like the cam. The nose of one of the lobes looks defective, among other things. I wouldn't use it.

    Electronic ignition conversion tips

Well, there you have it. The coolant leak fixing goo that plugged up the radiator, thermostat and housing is definitely NOT a genuine Chrysler part! So, I agree with you. Chrysler only parts should be used on a Chrysler.

I don't understand the need to pull the cylinder if you have the ignition key? But, I yanked my 72 new Yorker with a slide hammer, slide the new cylinder and key right on in. Because I didn't want to mess with the column innards. It was a 15-minute job. I drilled the slot to accept a large...

For sure. I got 7 Mopar's and with the exception of a couple of distributors and window switches all the parts are Mopar. I think.

    Electronic ignition conversion tips

The GM HEI reproduction distributor is very dependable, and parts are dripping off the shelves at the auto parts stores. You know, the stores that don't stock the Mancini stuff? And the HEI offers a module that retards the start/cranking timing 7 degrees. Very handy with 10.5 compression...

That concrete floor looks to be in decent condition. I would bet the black beauty rolls around easy enough after you disconnect the shift rod and put your dollies under the front. Three people should be enough muscle.

Tips for a young guy? What’s next?

I did put one of the $70 eBay 318 carbs on a 360. I slotted the carb base mounting holes to fit the bigger spread 360 manifold and used the thickest 360 base gasket I could find. This was done because the engine in question in the car in question was a big question from jump, as was the whole...

Can shocks with springs affect ride height?

I've had good success with the spring shocks. The 4 pair I remember on big sedans raised the rear at the wheel about one inch. On the Darts and Satellites, it was about 2 inches. More if the springs were weak, less if they were not. I didn't notice any draw backs. I put four on my long...
