60 years for the Pace Car! Let’s see um!

Mine is slightly off-topic, but it's a pace car! !963, and still a reliable car to drive. I would love to take it on the Indy oval in a parade of years and years of pace car survivors! How do we get that done? :)

69 Chrysler 300 Rear Housing Removal

Little late, but just asked by an 73 Imperial owner how to remove heater core. David, would this be the procedure I should share with him? I have send him photos from my service manual, but anything I can add will help.

It had road wheels when the original owner had it.

    Carpet Pad

In our then-new '69 Chevy pickup truck, under the bare carpet were some patches of a tar-like sticky material covered with a thin layer of white plastic fluffy material, two separate items, but worked together. The white item similar to what is between a brake backing plate and the rear axle...

    Lots of Mopar info

Where I first heard of Dr. Zatz was in the old Usenet BBS bulletin board for Chrysler products. Rec.makers.Chrysler.(I don't recall the rest of the title, but it was the 2nd oldest BBS on the Usenet platform). He had the Chrysler Corp FAQ pages, which covered lots of things. This was back in...

    1971 sport fury Canada sunroof

I like the thin whitewalls, but I am not a fan of those wheel covers. I would go with the road wheels.

1959 Dodge Coronet - need a better 2 barrel carb

The tank might be clean, but the lines can be internally rusty. Which is why the pore-pump filter can be needed. An extra layer of protection. Just need to raise the front end of the car when putting one on or changing it. CBODY67

1959 Dodge Coronet - need a better 2 barrel carb

It's kind of a pain in the *** but you might consider running a filter right before the fuel pump as well at least for awhile. Did you pull the fuel tank? There should be a slip on sock filter on the end of the sending unit pick up I think as early as 59.. It's plastic so if its very old it may...

    Old stuff you still use.

Dymo label maker from back in the day, around 1958, when these label makers were made out of metal, and not plastic. Still works, and put it to use from time to time.

    Price estimate wanted

If the valuation you are looking for is transactional, it's worth what someone is willing to pay when you go to sell it. If it's insurance replacement values an appraisal is the 'sure' bet

NOT MINE New 1970-73 washer reservoirs!

A wise guy might buy up the supply of new tanks, only to list them at a high price on ebay down the road, when all sold out (or sell them out of the trunk of his Imperial). Who knows - the black market for old tanks may rebound.... haha.

    1971 sport fury Canada sunroof

I'd like to see it back with its factory wheel covers and those whitewalls; it looks like it had road wheels at some point, in that sunroof registry, and I don't know why someone would swap those for lame-and-everyone-has-them Cragars.
