I remember tring to put the oil scraper on first a time or 2. for some reason it didnt click into my head that the scrapers ride the shoulder made for them on the expander. for some reason I thought the expander just "resides" there. Its actually locked in with the upper and lower scraper. I am...

Looking at 1972 Imperial, needs engine

Thanks for all the input guys, but unfortunately this one's a no-go. "One spot of rust on the quarter" he says! Lol! I love old cars, but some actually are ready for the derby, and I think this is one of those! I could have kept talking pics of the rust, but I didn't have all night. Again, you...

The life and times of an upside down 65' Polara.

A bit late to this thread. A quick heads up you need a 16-18lb rad cap to help keeping coolant in and prevent overheating. By your description it appears your radiator has become partially plugged up, a through Radiator core cleanup will solve that. A Radiator shroud I agree will help...

classic car as a daily driver in California

I agree. Which probably means even the smallest fender bender and they will total it out. I don’t think the ‘stated value’ classic car policies like Hagerty allow the cars to be daily drivers. I have a classic car policy on my ‘68 and I think I am limited to like 3000 miles a year.

A Poor Man's Master Cylinder Upgrade

Help please. I replaced my single pot master with a dual reservoir one from a 67. Couldn't get the brakes to bleed with a vacuum so I had my daughter help me pump. That seem to work good bleed with no bubbles. Went to try and back the car out of the drive way and had very little braking with...

Got the wiper motor out. What's else am i missing ?

I got the wiper motor out. I assume this is what a real 1978 wiper motor looks like (it's not a different year motor in my 78), and I assume that spring wrapped around the motor shaft is the spring that goes inside a replacement bushing. Am I missing washers or something? Or a bolt or anything...

    Epic Whoops thread.

I just saw this. Yes, you can use sand or some type of grit on ice. Sawdust and kitty litter? Not so much. The sand just sits on top of the ice though. Using those spreaders for salt usually ruins them. For around home, I usually just use a little ice melt type stuff on the sidewalk and...
