I’m getting ready to send in my request for my ‘64 New Yorker. I have NO history on it except that it’s very low miles (came from an estate sale).

I'm strongly considering replacing everything in that area. Like an onion, the more layers I peel back, the worse it gets. I've sourced a mint floor and cowl, so I think it'll be better in the long run to have proper, factory steel in place. I won't make a final call until I pull the interior...

A fluid and filter change and band adjustments for your transmission might straighten up its behavior. I'm a no replacement for displacement kind of guy, especially for a heavy car. Bottom end torque is what you need and to get 450 hp out of a 360 is going to require a cam that moves the rpm...
