On the fender extensions I believe there is circles as to where they get drilled for the clips… if anyone has one of a car they should be able to help.

    Shock Grommet Removal?

I forgot to add a point, although you might already be aware. The sleeve acted as a limit to prevent over-compressing the bushing. With the two piece bushings, there typically is no limit on non-shouldered stems, so unless the shock manufacturer specifies otherwise, tighten the shock stud nut...

    Radio removal fail

Yes, the radio ground is through the nut at the back...either secured to a bracket or a ground strap. Sounds like you had the bracket.

    1968 NEWYORKER resonator and hanger

I had a silent and nice exhaust system but couldn`t resist taking a closer look at it. The resonator was surprisingly good , the forward end plate needed some work and the belly was opened since it had a couple of pin holes. I am going to used it since it is probably a correct resonator for...

    1972 440 Main Bearings

Looking for some input from those who have done it. I ordered a set of Clevite 77 MS-2233HG bearings and according to 440Source these fit any year RB block. When I compare these to the main bearings I removed, these are more narrow. I read that narrow bearings are often used with aftermarket...

    Hubcaps restoration

Wowwwww. That looks excellent. I like the color change too. Personalizing without going over the top. Did you use spray paint for the red, white and blue? I gave my grill a little “300” treatment.

What are you working on today??

Took a quick trip to Ace Hardware to get some more lump charcoal for my egg. Going to cook up a batch of Smoked Carnitas Green Chili. Also since it’s dry out I decided to knock the cobwebs out. And then start seeing if I can troubleshoot my engine analyzer while I am waiting to find the right...

Will dual knob radio fit in the hole?

I had a 1976 Toyota Corolla once and the model with the knobs, Even though looked almost the same, was like, I don't know, an eighth of an inch wider than the model with the knobs on the left, and you wouldn't know unless you physically tried to put it in there. Everything was very small in that car

72 New Yorker with cassette player

Any chance of seeing a picture of the fender tag? How about some pictures of her bottom? Let's see the rust and rot please. Good looking car in any case. The cassette player should be in the car while it runs down the road. How else does anyone enjoy the part if it isn't in a car.
