above 1947. Cool little joint with art deco flavor. It was built in 1926. The car in the B&W photo is a 1947 Studebaker. Car in the later, color photo is a 1956 Packard Caribbean (Packard was in its death throes about this time ... might have even been their last year in business)...

    NOT MINE '69 300 convertible.

Power vent windows but no cruise control. That’s interesting. I guess you needed the power vent windows to keep cool cruising down the interstate.

Firm feel or Steer $ gear?

I went with a firm feel stage 2 on my 66 sport fury and love the feel over stock. As you see everyone has their own opinion based on what feel they like and their experience with each company they went with. Both are using factory gear boxes to rebuild and likely doing the same basic stuff...

    mysterious carburetor problem

were the lights still on when you came out of the event? or was everything completely dead? if there was any juice left in the battery the alternator should be more than capable of keeping everything running for the ride home...I really think you're dealing with more than one issue...you really...

WANTED Want to buy 1960 Plymouth

I'm 74. I don't want a project at my age, just something to drive and remember the good old days. If I can't find what I want I don't have to buy.

From the FB post accompanying this pic: "On March 9, 1901, the Olds Motor Works, located along Jefferson near the Belle Isle Bridge in Detroit, was destroyed in a fire. The Detroit News called it “a spectacle of rare magnificence.” A separate foundry building survived, and a single Curved Dash...

Firm feel or Steer $ gear?

I just remembered this. Not sure why I forgot. I had them do a Stage 2 on my fury a year ago, it was too much for a heavy car like this so just had them go back in and do a "Stock" build. expensive mistake on my part.

Firm feel or Steer $ gear?

Had Firm Feel do a stage 2 box for my '70 300. Delivery time was as promised, and it works just fine. If I had it to do again, I don't know if I would go with the stage 2 and go for the closer to stock feel.

    67/68 Fury Tight fit

First and foremost, it always amazes me how such a big car has absolutely no room to add components on the firewall inside or out. Factory AC really takes up all real estate. For anyone that has a hankering for doing some engine work in these cars, going to Trick Flow 240 heads with Factory...

Is the ‘Certicard’ in the engine bay common?

very cool that they stay with the car after this many years. For years i've never had a rig that had the card with it. Now the last two in a row they had them, I'm keeping them in the folder of documents just so they don't deteriorate more than they are now. 68 D100 farm truck, and the 67...

Firm feel or Steer $ gear?

I doubt anyone has used both to be able to give an unbiased opinion. I used FF and so far zero issues, but have heard the same about steer and gear, you'll always have outliers with each I'm sure. Be sure you know EXACTLY when you'll get your box back in your hands, that may be a deciding...
