    M/T Valve covers

Posting for no other reason than to show off a set I stumbled upon. Still in the box, instructions, warranty card, baffles and grommet still in the sealed bag. Friggin things are thick! These are the U.S. made ones from WAY back. So stoked! I feel guilty popping out the plugs for oil filler...

    Distributor shaft side play

I’ll check the specs in the FSM but this is the Rick E distributor I bought two years ago. It only has about 2000 miles on it.

    Distributor shaft side play

Specs for the side play are in the FSM distributor specs section. The bushing wear was caused by the spring tension in the points keeping the rubbing block in contact with the points breaker cam. Might buy a reman '72 factory electronic ign distributor and swap your electronics into it. Keep...

8 3/4 Axle Housing Width for Fuselage Years?

The reason that C-body axles were not in the old Direct Connection list is that they were not where the "muscle car market" was when the charts were printed. 1969s still had the narrower rear track of the '68s, I believe, as the 1970 and later C-body rear tracks were wider. Not sure about the...

    Distributor shaft side play

Please see video below. I don’t know what the specs are but it seems like this is probably too much play and I will just end up destroying another reluctor wheel and pick up if I don’t replace the bushing. Let me know please, thanks.

    Greetings, various restoration issues

These arrived today. Great price from Rock Auto. These look like they'll be extremely helpful in some situations and (being in the era when photographs and printing of detailed photos was likely expensive and less common) a little confusing in others, but I am glad I have them! .

8 3/4 Axle Housing Width for Fuselage Years?

Yea, I saw the link was bad and fixed it. Point being, the charts aren't that great, but there are differences in rear width.

8 3/4 Axle Housing Width for Fuselage Years?

Thanks. Your link went to a picture. Here is link I think may have sent. Actually shows 2 different widths for 70-71 but this could be an error https://www.hemmings.com/stories/mopar-8-3-4-inch-rear-ends/

8 3/4 Axle Housing Width for Fuselage Years?

No. The '69 is narrower than the later cars. I don't trust any of the online charts, but this one gets the c-body widths correct. https://www.hemmings.com/stories/mopar-8-3-4-inch-rear-ends/ A tape measure is the ultimate answer.

8 3/4 Axle Housing Width for Fuselage Years?

Are all 69-73 C-body 8 3/4 housings the same flange to flange, and spring center widths? I recall reading the 72 Fury axle housing flange distance was widened but may be misremembering this. DC chassis book does not mention c-body 8 3/4. Thanks.

    66 Fury III Antenna

Perhaps, like with a car cover, a slit for the mast to stick through, then wrap and seal the mast to the tarp with a plastic trash bag or similar? The type of antennas Chrysler used looked good, were stout, but lacked the flexibility of a 1969+ removable stainless steel mast antenna. As you...

    Side marker sockets.

I suspect that outer bezel will be 300-specific. As others were solid, smooth chrome on the outside?

Firm feel or Steer $ gear?

I had Steer and Gear rebuild mine with the "stock feel". Turn around was quick and very pleased how she performs on the road. Responsive but not overly touchy like it used to be. City and back roads driving is great. On highway driving I can keep the steering wheel centered without having to...
