Phrases we REALLY see in "car-for-sale" ads...

"Hard part of restoration is done!" Interpretation - I completely disassembled the entire car and have no idea of what to do now or how to do it.

68 Chrysler Imperial Convertible, Not mine in Vegas

This car was owned by my family from 1974 until I sold it in 2005. This was mom's daily driver until the early 1980's. I clocked many miles behind the wheel in my teen years. I actually drove this car part of the way to the WPC National Meet in Lake Tahoe in 1976 (I was 13 years old) dad was...

I fought the HOA and I beat the system.

Careful with the crooked allegations. I'm a career local government Building and Land Use Planning staff. Strict code of ethics followed here. Thankless job.

    Epic Whoops thread.

Late model Dodge Challenger crashed a few blocks from my place in Renton, WA last week. Speed limit on the street is 35 MPH. Can't even recognize the car. Two occupants were taken to the Seattle Trauma Hospital.

    Saddest thing(s) I've seen lately.

This is sad too. Not mine. I'm assuming this is a derby guy hitting the wanted ad section in Seattle area Craigslist. WANTED Mopar C bodies

    Thinking About Buying This Car

For comparison purposes only, not mine. Different year, and fewer options, but a decent looking mostly unmolested Cordoba. On craigslist in Seattle. $9,700.00 asking price. Price seems ambitious to me. 1976 Chrysler Cordoba

    All decked out

What do you mean by the $4,000 the City kicked in? No permit for a small deck would ever reach 4K.

Anyone Else Getting Ice Cold Weather?

In Renton, WA about 10 miles south of Seattle, we got 8 inches of snow dump yesterday. This is an unusually high amount of snow for this region. Now, the temp is going to get down to the teens for the next couple days.

Viaduct in Seattle is Coming Down - SPD - C Body Picture

Big news in Seattle, WA. The 65 year old Alaskan Way Viaduct was closed for good on Jan 11, 2019. This is the second highest capacity vehicle route north - south thru and into downtown Seattle. The aging two level structure is old, sinking, and has major seismic hazard conditions. The viaduct...

    Your first car

This is the first car I purchased in 1977 for 500 bucks when I was 14 years old. 1948 Plymouth Convertible. It didn't look this good when I bought it out of a garage near the Space Needle in Seattle, where it had sat from 1963 to 1977. It is a great car, has flathead six cylinder. It still...

Lace, flake & glitter paint jobs

Great pictures! I love looking at and admiring the artistry of these glitter and flake paint jobs. I attached a couple pictures of original 1967 Metalflake and Candy Colors Paint Chip Chart booklets from Sherwin Williams that I have.
