My car is in an upcoming movie

yes, it was the IMCDb that made me aware of a Newport like mine being in any movies at all. The Infiltrator features a black 66 Newport 2 door, but I'm pretty sure it's not my car.

My car is in an upcoming movie

I thought for a little while that my car was in "The Infiltrator" but I can't connect the dots between the car being titled in Wisconsin up until 2019 and it being on location in Florida for filming in 2015. Can't see a '66 Newport driven or trailered that far just for 2 seconds of screen time...

    1971 Chrysler New Yorker:

I noticed a BIG difference in how happy my engine sounded going from a single 2 inch exhaust to dual 2 1/2 inch exhaust. With the original exhaust system, it did not like me mashing the gas pedal at all, and at about 3500 RPM it would sound like it was starting to wheeze from the restrictive...

    1971 Chrysler New Yorker:

Most interesting to me about this video was the chart towards the end of the video that showed the gross and net HP ratings of both the the 383 and 440 engines, with single exhaust vs. dual exhaust. Both engines when equipped with single exhaust exhibited ~30% less power when installed in the...

    Hub Cap Choice

Interesting! The guy in my area with dog dishes (besides myself) is driving a Hemi RoadRunner. Good conversation!

    Hub Cap Choice

Newport's, being an entry level car, came with dog dishes unless the customer ordered wheel covers [at least in the mid 60s]. I don't know if you'd call that ridiculous . . . I happen to love them!

It's As Big As A Whale! The 1972 Chrysler New Yorker

After poring over the ICMDB for a while, I found a black '66 Newport 2 door that looks JUST like my car in the 2016 movie "The Infiltrator." Given the largely unknown history of my car, and that it was originally an east coast vehicle before being auctioned and moved to Washington State in...

    How crazy am I?

I drove my '66 Newport from Whidbey Island to Spokane over the Snoqualmie Pass in the middle of January this past winter. Not the smartest thing I've ever done, but it was the only weekend without forecasted snow and the pass was clear, so I went for it. After a long conversation with the...

Not sure how accurate this site is since my C-Body is a '66, but you can give it a look: 1969-1971 Fender Tag / Broadcast Sheet Codes List – MyMopar
