What did you do to your C-body today....

Those damn gnomes they can't be trusted. I backed over one of mine "on accident" a few years ago, the rest of them have stayed in line since.

1973 Newport will not start, but sounds like it wants to! why?

Must haves.... Good battery Good starter and most importantly good battery cables and connections. That doesn't mean looks good, verify they are good. Have the battery checked as well as the starter. If the cables look old and the insulation is receding, do a voltage drop test. If the voltage at...

'76 Royal Monaco Wagon 440ci Questions

Again, rare doesn't translate to valuable. I paid 5k for mine, 44,062 miles on it. All but the AC works and the interior looks new. The rest of the car looks just a few years old. That's about right for these. If you own a 74 or 75 Monaco sedan. That's a different story, the Bluesmobile guys...

'76 Royal Monaco Wagon 440ci Questions

Umm, yes. Drivetrain goodies some suspension and chassis parts and available. Interior, not really at all. Carpet, and that's about it. Then there's finding one to begin with. The cars themselves are unobtainium. If you've found one, and it's a good price 5-7k is about normal for a "good" car...

    Gas tank float

Chances are whatever they used back then has since been outlawed. Generally what works best isn't environmentally safe. Try finding carb soak that doesn't take three days, if it can be found at all.

    Water pump installation issue!

Search your WP part number on Carter's site. Make sure it is for your car. It may have been shipped wrong. Also, check the casting #s on your engine, it may not be a 63.

    Molding missing ???

Might contact Murray B Park, although the next step is finding the factory part number and searching with that. My guess is, they are both correct for the year. Just different trim levels.

I think her handlers just guide her outside with pastries and hit her with a pressure washer. Discovery Channel once did a special on it I think. The pixelated blur took most of the screen.

    K car cv boot replacement

I've been selling auto parts for 25 years. I have never bothered with a split boot because of the trouble that customers have had installing them. Most of the time they get returned, covered in grease, and glue, and either a real boot or axle is purchased. It's not really that hard to replace to...

What's the funniest mod you've seen in a while???

While I agree something got ruined. I don't see 80k. A Chrysler Sebring, a Nissan Murano, most of a JC Whitney catalog. I do hope those 59 Caddy fins came off a fiberglass couch though. Someone had A LOT of time on their hands.

Is there any world where brake calipers are TOO seized to fix?

If the piston is steel, soak it in white vinegar. If it's aluminum DON'T! The vinegar will eat the rust. It will also eat aluminum and pot metal.
