Have you ever had to place the torsion bar in the third hole so the deck lid would stay up? I am concerned if I place it in the third hole I might damage something.

I have owned 15 Chrysler vehicles with the torsion bar setup and I have never see the bar in the third hole. The service manual is silent regarding this issue. Thanks!
