Does anyone know offhand if the 70 New Yorker had the same auto temp as the 69 300. I have a new Yorker available for parts from a friend if the parts are the same, specifically the control box in the kick panel. I haven't seen it yet to know if the temp rheostat is the same.

Speedo ran good last two years. It snapped off at the cruise head. I got a cable only and installed it. One week later it broke at the cruise head. How do I determine if it's speedo or cruise that's bad without having to buy a new bypass cable.

What is the correct position for A frame shields on 69 300? I put them on from wheel side and didn't seem right with bulk over A frame. I put them on engine side and had to push them thru on top of A arm and tire hits on sharp turns.

My 69 300axle flange is ground down on the axle side. Bearing went bad and I had at least 1.5" end play. How important is this flange in maintaining end play. This is the left, non adjustable side. Should I start looking for a replacement?
