    Factory 4-Speed-C-Body-Photo-Thread

Wow, these things are growing on trees:D Very interesting, a local Pittsburgh car with very similar options to mine & also from the Belvidere plant. This one was originally buffed silver with red interior so not quite the identical twin. Notice it doesn't have the two firewall supports near the...

    What’s this on the firewall?

See post #9 here. I am 100% positive these are the correct ones. https://www.forcbodiesonly.com/mopar-forum/threads/firewall-cut-out.82362/

New to me 1965 Plymouth Fury I in South Dakota

Cool car in really nice shape! :welcome: I'd go with an original carb as used on '65 slants, Holley 1920, very reliable & economical.

Whitewalls with poverty caps - pics?

My old TNT Newport came from the factory with painted wheels, whitewalls, & the rare Chrysler caps. I really liked the looks. It also had power windows & seats. It was special ordered by a farmer in Fargo, ND.

Rear fender 2 doors 1967 vs 1968 - any difference?

No, the seam is higher on the '67 as compared to '68.

    NOT MINE 1968 Dodge Polara 500 Convertible L-code - $14,500 Idaho

Here's a couple of 1968 Monaco 500s on this site that have the belt molding code but no molding. Perhaps they just spun a roulette wheel to decide whether to install.

    NOT MINE 1968 Dodge Polara 500 Convertible L-code - $14,500 Idaho

Did a quick Google image search & couldn't find a single 500 with the moldings. Did find an amazing example that sold on auction for $21k (a steal IMHO) but don't know how long ago. They claim only 24 500 L-code convertibles were built which is plausible...

    NOT MINE 1968 Dodge Polara 500 Convertible L-code - $14,500 Idaho

My books also indicate the "0" is a body side belt molding, complete option code 540. However, the sales literature does not indicate that is even an available option on the 500 or any Polara. Apparently it came as standard equipment on all Polaras except the 500. I think it's just an anomaly...

    NOT MINE 1968 Dodge Polara 500 Convertible L-code - $14,500 Idaho

Is that right? The brochures show the 500 without moldings & lower level Polaras with. It does appear to have optional fender turn signal indicators.

1968 Chrysler New Yorker Disc brakes and 14" wheels

Those should work but I'd be inclined to get a complete kit with the mopar bullseye caps & lug nuts. Look for free shipping.

1968 Chrysler New Yorker Disc brakes and 14" wheels

The place I had my spacers made is long gone but I'm sure there are lots of places that could make them. The specs I used were: 3/8" thick ID (hub) 2.820" OD 6.200" 1/32" chamfer on one or both sides of ID (the hub has a little radius to it) I don't know what the ARP studs were, they were a...

    Another V-Code ‘70 Fury Surfaced?

Very nice video. Wonder what the trunk looks like under the mat? Finding a nice straight/ unrusted fender in original R6 red will be like finding a rainbow pot of gold. They must have bounced it good to bust the T-bar.

    Another V-Code ‘70 Fury Surfaced?

I've probably seen a couple dozen '67 L-code C's over the years & even more '68s. I've never seen single '67 without discs but the majority of later years were drums. I owned a '68 Newport L-code & it had drums and standard suspension. If anyone can find a single 1967 C L-code with drums, I'll...

    Another V-Code ‘70 Fury Surfaced?

It was a mandatory option in 1967 C-bodies with the 440HP. Perhaps not "standard" as it appears as an option code, a matter of semantics.

    Another V-Code ‘70 Fury Surfaced?

Adjusting for inflation you'd have to multiply those numbers by 10 or more, not peanuts by any means. The early 4-piston fixed caliper Budds were more expensive than the later single piston floaters. Neat window sticker!

    Another V-Code ‘70 Fury Surfaced?

A little known oddity, when the updated 440 375HP first became available in C's in the 1967 year, disc brakes were standard. 1968 & through at least 1970 had the big 11" drums. I think the option price may have had something to do with it & the fact that the drums had long been trusted with...
