    C-Body Police Cars Thread

I'm following and awaiting these great pictures to be sorted by brand, year, model, state & date. Names, ranks and serial numbers of the people in the pix.AI may be able to do that soon. I have a number of pix that you might enjoy. How is the best way to send them? Perhaps on a flash drive?

    NOT MINE 1966 monaco FB

I could use a picture of this car's fender tag--to help develop & test my free decoder. First seven of the VIN would help.

I am collecting data for '67-'68 tags but cannot produce a report yet. Thank you for the shot of the rare cop car plate. It does look like a '67 New Yorker 4DHT. Fit for the Chief , Sheriff or under cover?? Do you have a picture of the rest of the tag? Which code is for power locks? I think...

I would like a shot at decoding your three '66's. I learn from each one, especially wagons. Legible pix of the Fender Tags and, at least, first seven characters of the VIN. N/C to anyone, ever. Do you have window stickers, Production Broadcast or IBM cards for any of these?

Good eye, Mr. Wooldridge. Thank you for your kind words. I did view the radio, saw the big AM numbers and missed the smaller FM numbers across the bottom. Probably was /is a factory AM FM radio. The blob of black paint under the "R" could just as well be a "3" for 423-AM FM radio. Makes...

Attached is a draft decode report, based on what I can read or guess on the fender tag. Others with insights into decoding 1966 fender tag codes are encouraged to help this struggling student. Does the car have seat belts or any indication it ever did? Have you ever searched for a Production...

Great! Very interesting and well loaded NP Please lightly sand or Scotchbrite the numbers so the numbers and letters can be read. I would like to know if LH or both seats are powered. Is that a power antenna? Interesting to see a black painted fender tag on a white car..or, is that not black...

Offer of a free fender tag still graciously open. Until then, look for a"2" under the "H" to signify Order Code452-Power Locks. A rare option on Chryslers, especially Newports. Please shoot me a picture of the fender tag--should be interesting.

Can I have some 63 880 custom assistance?

Dunno about M4, but pretty sure the 4 under the TRM 584 is grey--the color of the seats. May be black from photo. the 8 is for an undefined HD police/taxi grade cloth and vinyl seat cover. The 5 is for Dodge Custom 880 grade seat covers.

Can I have some 63 880 custom assistance?

I'm working on decoding this car's fender tag. Many of the options are the same as used for Chryslers and Imperials assembled at the Jefferson Ave Knowing it is a police car, there are unique 3-digit order codes for police items such as special seats-more firm, stronger covers; and other...

pre 65 option codes/dealer order forms/ broadcast sheet

Hi, Mark: I see in my records I prepared a decode report for the fender tag shown. I've done a lot of research on 1960-1968 Chrysler & Imperial fender tags and have found that beginning in 1963,Chrysler & Imperial 3-digit order codes were nearly identical for cars made at the Jefferson...

    1960 DeSoto Fireflite 4d sedan

Hi, JJ: Thanks for posting the very nice high-resolution IBM CAR RECORD CARD. I have decoded part of the IBM card and am requesting a picture of the car's fender tag. It is late here and I must go to bed, but here is what I have. The card displays the three-digit order cards with the column...

The saga of La Chrysler 1966 300 Canadian sedan continues.

Thanks for posting. Very helpful for me. Most everything calculated out OK except the TRM code. In my US 300 trim codes list, there is an M1D-Medium grade cloth and vinyl Blue. The M2D on your car's plate does not show up on my list, so what color and material is on your car's seats. I'm...

I would really appreciate pictures of this loaded car's fender and VIN tags--to assist in development and testing of my free and under construction decoder. The first seven of the VIN would suffice-probably CL23J63. Sample attached. I will post the report here if you wish.

The saga of La Chrysler 1966 300 Canadian sedan continues.

I would love to process the data on this car's fender and VIN tags--to help develop and test my free decoder project. First four on the VIN would suffice. Example below. Please post or PM pix. 60 Desoto - getting ready for paint

Thank you. Pre '65 Canadian-built cars had minimal fender tags as compared to the tags of US built cars 1960 and onward. Examples of Fireflite and Adventurer tags are attached, The first four digits of your car's VIN: 7: DeSoto; 2: Adventurer; 0: Last digit of 1960 model year and 9: Windsor...

    NOT MINE 1965 Imperial LeBaron

Beautifully loaded LeBaron. Fender Tag aficionados beware. The numbers under letters L-Y need to be shifted one space to the right. Numbers under A-J are consistent with those on 25 other Imperials. Apparent key punch error. Correct: M9,,P7, Q5, V3, W4, X7, Z2
