Since for some reason it was decided to cut the wires? Where might I find more? Wasn't my choice to cut them, I exactly said " don't mess with it for now, it runs".

    Won't start. 77 Newport

I did try to mention it and mess with it and try to make the connection stronger, but I was told to stop messing with it. And that wasn't the problem. Im really curious to see if that would work. Cause I didn't do it, but for some reason we cut some to rewire it with those connectors.(To make it...

    Won't start. 77 Newport

It seemed to turn off when there was a major movement in the car. Once it turned off over a speed bump. Another was when I shut the door closed

Thank you! I love the heater valve, it's quite genius. But we were having a problem before the distributer change. So we bought a new distributor trying to troubleshoot. Thinking that was the problem.

    Won't start. 77 Newport

Tried to start, didn't work. The battery has been dead for a while and we've had to change it every time we had to start it. We've changed the distributer and the spinning thing inside. We changed the plug and wires. Can charging the battery too much fry the system? We've only had problems...

    77 Chrysler Newport/ throttle spring thing(first car)

Thank you! When I did check to see if it actually was pumping gas through, it seemed to do ok. No real fuel problems (yet). I haven't tried using the heater, I'm not sure if it leaks or anything of that. It's not very cold here, so I didn't bother. Same with the air-conditioning. I did...

    77 Chrysler Newport/ throttle spring thing(first car)

For the fuel filter, I Learned it the hard way. Not more so in that way but, it just broke. Started pouring a bunch of crap out. I had to do a complete rebuild of the carb. (With some help). I had to order a different, one out of metal.

    77 Chrysler Newport/ throttle spring thing(first car)

I always disconnect the battery after running it. I did try to charge the battery but it gave very little charge. (Battery is from 23). I definitely scraped all the crap off from the old battery that was there. I did change the oil and oil filter.

    77 Chrysler Newport/ throttle spring thing(first car)

Wow, I didn’t even think about that! I haven’t changed the spark plugs yet, so based on what the previous owner told me, they could be around 10-15 years old. It was sitting since 2011. That’s definitely something I need to take care of. As for the ignition timing, I had planned to address it...

    77 Chrysler Newport/ throttle spring thing(first car)

Do you know where I can find an alternative? This spring from the previous owner seems like they bought it from a hardware store. It's extremely stiff. Also tidbit, I can't figure out why it didn't start today ? I started it about 5 days ago, I wanted to warm it up. I let it warm then turned...

77 Newport Dash lights (first Car)

Oh. I didn't know that, I thought it was just click in. Just buy it and screw the new one in. So I did check, everything is firm and correct. But they still blinking red? They moved just a little bit after checking all the connections. Other than them not working. Was there a purpose for them...

77 Newport Dash lights (first Car)

I’m new to this and could use some help. I had to remove the dashboard to access the odometer and work on it, but now the odometer works, although not very efficiently—which is fine for now. After reconnecting all the wiring, I noticed a lot more lights on the dashboard, which looks great...

77 Newport (first car). Radiator leak

So I've been looking for a radiator and I'm not sure what would really work? Comparing radiators, I was told by a family member that the ones I were looking at were wayyyyy to expensive?
