    What is your dream car?

Mine is probably the car sitting next to my other 99 cars if we are dreaming. And they don't have to be quality ill take quantity. I was probably most passionate about a green A12 Bee 40 years ago.. A hemi roadrunner came into my sphere somewhat recently and it dawned on me that it was well...

Electric Car Fire at my Neighbors

I can't speak for all Ukrainians of course, but in my experience with them, and there are many out here, as well as Russians. They are very successful in their endeavors. Much more so than Americans are. Their Scruples are different having come from a very oppressed culture, but their grit and...

Anyone Know Any Details About This Terrible Tragedy?

Well I wonder if they got squeezed or salvaged? May have been more cost effective to let them go to salvage in the clean up effort. If so, the cars would have been reordered leading to a net gain of C body global inventory? The carriers insurance would have paid out, so unless there were...

    69 lost keys...

I found it to be reasonably priced at $45, by the time you made your money and they made theirs on it, you all did it for less than I could, so I am thankful to support you and your vendors. I was hoping that the locksmith would be a quicker solution as the car was to only be here a limited...

    Newport hood latch lever

Bumping this. This is a side project to the side projects and is not even my car but if I get a couple hours in the future one of the fixes is to cut this off and reposition. It does not look damaged or flipped 90 degrees but it will be soon..

    67 Chrysler Newport muscle look

First thing will be verify that the bottom of the cars still exists. That thing is sunk to the wheel centerline. The floorboards are in the mud. Dig down and get a jack under it. Lift it and get blocking under the tires and or mount wheels that hold air. If seen guys hook on to cars in this...

    69 lost keys...

Closing out on this. I ended up buying an nos lock cylinder with keys. The locksmith was a flake but did not charge me for the door keys. I did have to retrieve the trunk lock in pieces. So I need to sort that but I currently have a different key for the ignition than the doors. My main point...

    400 vs 440 in a 76-78 New Yorker - noticeable difference?

I think this one's issue was throttle blades position while in motion.. it seemed to go from off idle to wfo. At every stop sign.. Sometimes I would pull the air cleaner assembly off and it would pull down the center of the hood on the 72.. it just never got old and it never broke.

    400 vs 440 in a 76-78 New Yorker - noticeable difference?

I have a few anecdotal milage experiences.. My 83 D150 318 A833od with hiway gears did as well and maybe better in 3rd gear on the freeway. To much gear to push for the little 18. Had horrible throttle lag under 75mph. Drove like a normal car as expected with a tall gear and 1:1 3rd. Same deal...

Interested in your thoughts on one low compression cylinder

Any discoveries on this? I once bought a near new 413 that had two badly rust pitted cylinders. This I attributed to being the t we i cylinders with open valves exposed to atmosphere. I have seen engines where mice crawled up the exhaust pipe and in an open exhaust valve and pissed in the...

Putting your car on a diet -- ideas on where to shave weight

I have one those books with the slick pages that were popular in the 90's can't remember the publisher but I have several, one I think was super street mopar that covered these concepts. Even though it was about mopars I believe it's a Z car on the wheel scales in the picture. They discuss...

1972 Plymouth Fury III (Gran Coupe?)

OH.. that car.. I really liked that car. I would have liked to have the Mexican interior that was in it. Looks like he may have kept the rear panels and dyed them. The color of that car was outstanding.

Started getting my 69 Newport ready for new paint.

Man I like that scissor lift. Will it go a little higher? Im done putting lower metal in cars with out getting them up close to 2'. I can still hit it hard 12+ hours a day for days on end IF.. the work is above knee high..

1972 Plymouth Fury III (Gran Coupe?)

Well I don't hate it. Looks like a flipper car as to be expected at Mecum. Camaro seats and shifter. We used to run those seats in everything when they were cheap and everywhere. Can buy covers for those on ebay. May have been an early conversion because the horseshoe shifter is more expensive...

    69 lost keys...

Well, The saga continues.. I took a door lock and the trunk lock down to a locksmith shop and he successfully cut the door lock but could not get the trunk lock. It seems there might be a blockage at the rear, which he is going to work on. He did wonder if I had the wrong blank.. since the key...
