    Mopar electronic conversion epic fail.

Ballast resistor is the same as points. Both test 1.7-1.8 Timing verified and advance has nothing to do with the voltage drop I'm experiencing

'71 C body - where to add radiator overflow bottle?

As far as I can tell the ones offered on Rockauto all have return valves, can you still get non-return caps these days?

    Door Panels

You are quite fortunate. It took 4 years for me to get mine. Yes, seriously. Same car as yours. I had to threaten a lawsuit in order to finally get them. I got many promised dates over the years. They all camd and passed. They make a good product but bad liars.

    Coolant overflow

It may very well have been overfilled. You need to check it cold.

    Mopar electronic conversion epic fail.

Ecu is grounded with blind rivet nuts plus ground strapped to engine. Unpainted case also acts as ground. Initial was set to factory spec.

    Mopar electronic conversion epic fail.

you're changing the ballast resistor each time? It's been 30 years since i had my last points car (all converted to electronic) but i thought the ECU wanted a different resistance at the ballast. Otherwise i'm with @MoPar~Man and suggest verifying timing. There could be mfr differences in those...

    Coolant overflow

I’ll have to check and see where the coolant level is at right now, but I wasn’t the one that filled the cooling system, as I had the mechanic do that when I installed the new radiator after rebuilding the engine.

'71 C body - where to add radiator overflow bottle?

Something else to consider. If you DON'T use the radiator cap for a "closed system", the coolant WILL NOT return to the radiator.

'71 C body - where to add radiator overflow bottle?

    Disregard...I googled it.

'71 C body - where to add radiator overflow bottle?

Considering the location of the 73 MY mounting is the nipple on the radiator on the right?

    Wiring in electric choke

It would and I believe you'll find this is wired as pictured in @vannth post for 4 wire ECU car. If i understand where you're coming from, i can see where it would be nice (esp. in hard start situations) - and maybe that how factory systems worked if the choke didn't start to heat-up/come off...

    Mopar electronic conversion epic fail.

Maybe ECU has a bad ground connection. Did you check the timing with a timing light? See where it's firing?

    Coolant overflow

not sure how you filled your cooling system. For filling/burping those systems i really appreciate the Lisle kit; Advance Auto Parts - Down for Maintenance In my opinion the system could have been a little over filled things heat up, expand, presto! Otherwise a big ole air pocket might have...

    Mopar electronic conversion epic fail.

Last month I purchased a Mopar electronic ignition conversion package from a very reputable seller. It is NOT a proform kit. I installed it according to the very good instructions and the car wouldn't fire.| It would fire right back up when I reinstalled the points distributor. On a whim I...
