NOT MINE FB 1967 Plymouth Sport Fury 4 speed

Perhaps not unrealistic, but a guy would sure be better off spending more $$ on a better car to start from. I think the lack of good pics, lack of good description, etc tells the tale.

My grandmother, who'd be 100 this year she passed three years ago, worked in an oil can factory during the war. I have two of the cans she helped produce. She also sewed money bags for the Denver Mint at 1 cent bag. Evening though my grandfather was across the globe in Burma, and she had just...

Charging troubles: Ammeter bad? 1964 Chrysler

Just a thought here. How old is the battery. I ask because I had a problem with my "67 Fury once where the ammeter would show just a whisker on the discharge side at night with the heater and headlights on. With all the accessories turned off and the engine sped up, the ammeter would peg as high...

HD leaf springs vs stock leaf springs

@Ultrasummer -- great to read on your 1961 Newport, would love to see more pics and hear more about its story. I read a little about it here, but it' be great to learn more. There are tons of FCBO members in Indiana, so I hope to see your car at some point. @david hill @RWCearley @fury fan...

    Heavy Metal

This is incredible: In 1944, a factory outside Detroit was doing something that seemed physically impossible—rolling a completed four-engine bomber off the assembly line every 63 minutes, 24 hours a day. The Willow Run plant stretched over 3.5 million square feet—so vast that supervisors used...

    WANTED HP exhaust manifold.

I am looking for passenger side HP exhaust manifold that will work on my 1968 Chrysler 300 with 440. I am not worried about working heat riser valve, I will be removing it anyhow.

    440 identification inquiry

Indeed, your typical backwoods Chevy oriented car flipper knows the "mighty 440" is your best choice to get that junker flipped no matter if the motor came from a '65 or '78 model year car. This is even more prevalent in the B-body world. Some of us know better.

    440 Piston Recommendations

It occurs to me that fuel is getting less friendly towards our big blocks, and expensive in the higher octane,...so, grab a set of the old closed heads off of a 361/413. Machine the valve size to the larger valves, use the shim gasket, dual exhaust, an 800-850 carb (I used Edelbrock), 36 degrees...

How to adjust full throttle up shift on 727?

Not gonna be much help, but here goes. 4000 rpm is kinda high really....seems like thats not an early shift. You make no mention of the mph..... both factor in when you are discussing the governor, as it is located on the output shaft ( or runs at that speed im meaning to say). You can buy...

HD leaf springs vs stock leaf springs

Hell yeah. The pleasant surprise about this car is, the seller said the transmission leaked. He never did have it on the road. It was going to be his project car but I guess he got distracted with other things and never did anything to it. So now that I have it, transmission fluid is full...

HD leaf springs vs stock leaf springs

Okay, so this is quite a surprise! I have the exact same car and have been doing a considerable amount of work on it in my spare time for several years. Heavier springs were on the wagons and on the cop cars. I find the spring change improves the ride. The shackle rubbers are probably shot and...

    My Next Victim

Roof had quite a bit of surface rust under the primer due to the vinyl top. So I stripped it and cleaned it up and POR 15'd it and then primed it. Also primed the engine bay. Next up will be getting some paint on the jambs and under the hood and trunk.
