    2 door weatherstrip find

So far, it fits into the factory track, no glue needed. The old one was not glued either, but i cant be sure that one was not also a replacement. There's no residue of any old glue. I havent tested it thoroughly, so maybe i do eventually glue it.

70-3154-99 from Steele Rubber has been installed on my 77 New Yorker. Its not exactly the factory profile, but looks like it could have been. I recommend it. BTW Steele doesn't have it tagged to our cars. You'll have to go to the universal catalog. Now to find something for the sills....

Following up (again). Was unable to find the correct housing, so i tried my hand with changing the gear head again. Got it right this time and the electric motor runs! Woohoo!

    Window Regulator removal

The lower one came off the car. Note 3 larger holes that mount to the regulator and fourth smaller hole is where the cover encloses the gears. In the upper, new, one the small hole is in a different location. The gear cover wont install and the housing will not mount to the regulator.

    Window Regulator removal

The gears themselves were fine. The gear housing was incorrect. I tried to swap the housing, but its integral to the electric motor. My efforts resulted in ruining the electric motor.

Following up, partial success. My door doesn't have the access holes, so i made my own. Got the old one out, but the new one was incorrect. Don't trust the Dorman product listing for these. It has the wrong mounting and wrong electrical.
