Google, "1970 Chrysler Newport build tag decoding". I just did that on my '76 Cordoba, there are several sites but look for the one you fill in the blanks using information from your build tag.

Can someone help me to decipher the trim plate codes on my 70 barge…

Oddly enough the 68 Charger came from a NYC cop. The Dip is an 89. I sold it to a good friend that plans on Doing a motor swap to it.

its a 4 door - I am talking about a two door (I could use the IMPERIAL nameplate off of the rear truck lid) :)

Someone broke the "I" off of the rear nameplate emblem, now its a " MPERIAL by Chrysler " Anyone happen to have a good rear nameplate emblem for a fair price?

Heat (unless extreme) won't help if it is silicone. Urethane will respond to heat. Trouble is getting to the clips covered in whatever it is. The bottom trim is screwed on, no clips, so that's the first one to come off. Might need an exacto blade going straight down to cut the gunk out. Then...
