    Pull the pistons and have them mill the tops .013. I would rather do that than deal with clearance issues on that side. A thicker head gasket would make it work. Not fix it proper but make it work.

    Just make sure the electronic regulator has a solid ground to the firewall. A poor ground will cause overcharging and could cause damage or an electrical fire.

    Many replacement regulators for the old point type are electronic. I bought one from NAPA years back. Just look at the back. No coils, it's electronic.

    This will get you close on compression if you know your cylinder heads. 62-65 is the range for 273 heads.

    KB 167's sit .010 above deck height. Just be careful using the closed chamber heads as far as piston to valve clearance. I'm not sure what happened, whether they milled both a different amount or just milled one side.

    You'll probably need to start a Parts Wanted ad in the Marketplace forums for the part you need. I could be wrong but aftermarket may not be an option for that spring/clip you need.
