Sounds like an exhaust leak to me too. I'd say manifold to head.

Not the pump gasket, just the front seal. The TC seal.

Both are removed already, it’s good to go. Were you referring to the pump housing gasket needing replaced?

Oh you must remove the starter and bottom torque converter inspection cover also.

Okay cool, got it. I’ve heard that the TC does just slip out of the transmission but I wanted to make sure before I added one more thing to the ever growing list of things that need replaced. Radiator and all accessories are out and it’s ready to be pulled

Just unbolt the bell housing bolts, put a jack under the trans to suppot it. With your cherry picker raise the engine just enough to clear the mounts and pan. This will raise the trans some also so you need to raise the jack under the trans also. Then slide the engine forward. You need to move...
