    Coolant overflow

That’s what I am hoping too, I am thinking of checking the coolant level while it’s cold and then take it out for a drive to see what it does.

    Mopar electronic conversion epic fail.

I check and reset the initial every time with a timing light. That's the weird part Cbody67. With the engine off and the key on, I have 11.9 volts at the ecu plug. with the engine running I have 14.53. Now as you may surmise, I'm not running the electronic system, but that's the voltage. Is...

    Mopar electronic conversion epic fail.

Yup and the guy that sold me the conversion package said either resistor will work. Just so you know, I checked both resistors and the oem is 2.0 and the aftermarket is 1.9 I have a.o1 variance in the VOM so 1.9 and 1.8 My car runs great with the points and the stock resistor it's had for just...

    Mopar electronic conversion epic fail.

Considering how "dwell" affects timing, I find it hard to believe that changing the distributors does not affect your base timing. Unless you are re-timing the engine with each distributor swap. I would check the voltage getting TO the ECU as there is a minimum voltage requirement for it to...

    Coolant overflow

It was certainly a great day for a drive. It was up here in DFW. 190*F for the engine is not anywhere near "overheated" with a 180*F thermostat. On the round-top radiators, the "Full Cold" coolant level should be about 1 inch below the bottom of the filler neck. Maybe up to 1.5" or so...

'71 C body - where to add radiator overflow bottle?

Being an open system it wouldn't matter would it? Especially since our radiators will have a bit of air in them anyway since the manual says the water line should be 1-3/4 inch from the base of the filler neck.
