    My Unicorn, eh?

I don’t know 66 as well as 68, but in 68 2 dr was glued in and 4 doors had the seal. I found this when looking for a nonexistent gasket for my rear window. I learned from the parts book, comparing the rear windows in 68. In this case could it be a Canadian thing? I know @Polara_500_Jr has a...

    Rear axle bearing vendor choices

this looks like the "C" clip (retainer) from a 9.25. 8.75 uses nothing like this.

    Rear axle bearing vendor choices

that Motive Gear C clip is not used in an 8 3/4 rear...in an 8 3/4 the bearing is pressed onto the axle shaft...those clips are used in the rears where you pull the rear end cover ,remove a pin and the clip goes into a groove cut around the end of the axle to hold the axle into the side gear of...

Steering box blows a seal. Now what?

Perform step 2 first, step 1 and 5 may not be necessary. I would THOUROGHLY clean the area and pinpoint the leak. Do use care as I have heard of fires if the PS fluid hits the exhaust manifold.

    Stupid Key Question

There have been many variations over the years. Some earlier cars have "square" heads. Make sure the grooves are the same. Giving it a good brushing on the wire wheel can't hurt.

I need tips for installing transmission cooler lines...

The mild steel ones are pretty flexible, stainless not so much. Steel lines, just wrap those in something (so as not so scratch new paint) and pull them through. As long as you don't kink them you can bend to fit once in place. I struggled with stainless on fitment and then the fittings would...

    Rear axle bearing vendor choices

Yes I tried looking through several different C-body cars and years and they just showed the US Standard Gear offerings. But it seems when you look up the bearings by part number, these are the total offerings by rock: BCA NBA7 Bearing & Race Set $34 NATIONAL A7 Bearing & Race Set $45 SKF BR7...

    AVS2 650 CFM on a 383-2, tuning help needed

A friend and i both have AVS carbs on our Mopar and noticed the same hot start issues. I noticed my car likes a partial throttle when hot and i let it sit for >15 minutes (a good heat soak i guess). This is from a 1973 Chrysler owners manual:

NOT MINE 4 Big Chryslers Near Me

I really like the Monaco too! If I didn't already have too many cars... All his cars need restoration but they're all so complete and unbutchered.

That Monaco is speaking to me...The Sport Fury hot on its heels. Beautiful.

What's funny is if you click on the SET7 number in the RA listing, it comes up with "67 Monaco". Why this doesn't cross back to the application listing doesn't make any sense.

    Stupid Key Question

sometimes new keys just need to hit the wire wheel for a second or two, to take off the rough edges. If they work i wouldn't worry about the pentastar orientation.

    Rear axle bearing vendor choices

Type in the Chrysler part number. In this case 2525415 and it will cross to the SET7. Take it one more step and hit the "Info" button and it will open up to another page and you'll see that Chrysler part number. (Yea, I know it says "driveshaft". Chrysler calls axles driveshafts) All that...

    Stupid Key Question

I have both a 64 Belvedere and a 65 Newport. Getting some new keys made, bought the blanks off ebay. Didn't realize the two pics are not "quite" the same, either pentastar orientation, or the grooves are tiny bit different. Is one for 65 and one for 64? Is this just a PITA aftermarket...

Power Steering Pump for a 440 going into a 1965 Fury

A few years ago I put a 73 440 in my 65 using the Schumacher engine mounts. I had to drill and tap the block for the one mount and I did have to clearance that mounting order to install my power steering . I had to grind off maybe 1/4” it’s hard to get a picture but I can get one of you need.
