On the 68 there’s down ward recess on each side by the door so when you put them in the sit crooked. I tried leveling it out with 5/8 strut lock and it fixed the seat but now they sit a bit to hi for where I want them. I’m 6,4.
I’m trying to figure out how I can lower the seats on the side...
It might be that when there is not a stamping on a Chrysler blank, then the shape of the head comes into play. Chrysler seemed to use the same blanks for a few model years, as to the head shape.
There are some nuances to the GM key system, including "Valet Keys" and the cylinders they fit...

I’m looking to change from single to dual pot master on my 4 wheel drums, it’s for safety reasons but the car doesn’t do much driving to warrant discs or any expensive Upgrade

I was in trade school in the late 70's. My engine teacher, Mr. Gommel, told us, "If you need to do cam bearings, come see me first. It is VERY easy to do them wrong". I have yet to do any, but I would be VERY careful to get it right. I doubt Mr. Gommel is still around.
I had a 76 Pontiac with a VERY WORN ignition key. It wasn't until I worked at the Pontiac dealer that I knew about cutting keys with the "gun". After that it worked like a charm and is now my preferred method.
