Slant 6 was base in most C bodies until 1972. Then it was fleet only.

re: windshield washer bag… This ‘gramma car’ came without washers, with one speed wipers, and without backup lights. Competitor of Chevy Biscayne?

NOT MINE 1968 Plymouth VIP 4-door hardtop, barn find, 34k miles, 318, Hamburg, Pennsylvania

Ended yesterday with reserve not met on a 5000 bid. That is a very nice car. Had I not bought a 1969 Ford LTD with 66k original miles last week I would consider it.

The color issue is the additional red wire on the ground terminal. I have no idea why parts store replacements do this.

Yes, I don't think any car had the LA block until 1967 model year. In Canada many, most or all C-bodies, or all Mopars with a 318 were still the poly block in 1967.

Battery cable colors are probably correct. I have the original positive battery cable on my '65 Barracuda and it's black. The original terminal ends were probably the flag style that I've never seen correctly reproduced. My solution is to replace with a newer style terminal. 99% of the...

Is there no source for OEM HVAC parts and rebuilding?

Many b body heater control vac switches will work on C body Chryslers. The one requirement is they be manual A/C equipped. New Port, New Yorker, 300 and some B bodies definitely interchange. see photo.

I don't see a windshield washer bag. It should be on the passenger side, next to the radiator (barely visible here):

Original Owner Documented Survivor 1966 Fury III 383 Commando V8

Here's an updated photo of the engine compartment after I installed the ribbed/stamped heater hoses (following heater box installation) and replaced the upper radiator hose filter last fall with an uncut hose and correct spring clamps, mostly finishing off the engine bay. 2025 also saw new tires...

Looks good overall - nice attention to detail and I'll only nitpick because you asked us to! I second the comment regarding the cogged belt, as well as the battery cable colors and terminal ends. Is the distributor cap supposed to be tan like my '66 Fury 383 or was '64 still black like my '59...

    License Plate Frames

My grandpa's '60 DeSoto has one that I believe to be a factory accessory and it also has a plastic cover. That has to be about the first year as I'm not aware of a similar cover for '59 or older.
