    Paint code mystery

VIN is C153214204 Supposedly the "2" in the 5th position indicates a build to be sold in Canada. Which is consistent with the engine being painted red. There is some controversy about if this is true, some say "maybe". Ross Wooldridge (FCBO member) says it is true, he has 2 or 3 Canadian...

    Big Car Rally Wheels

Where can I find these kind of Mopar Rally wheels. When I search all I can get to show up are the Challenger/Cuda versions. Do these have a specific name that is different?

    From where is this hubcap?

Ha, my Newport has pickup wheel covers. But I like them anyway. I took one off and shot a pic of the numbers, they are indeed the ones supplied by Vaanth. Mystery solved! Many thanks.

    From where is this hubcap?

I thought I had sent this message and even received a response, but can't find it. What is the lineage of the hubcap shown in the attached photo?

    Battery size?

Am looking to replace the Interstate battery with a period correct looking one. Agree 27 looks WAY better than the 24 in the battery tray. Thanks for the inputs!

    Battery size?

The sveral places I looked indicated a group 24 battery for my 65 Newport. Took the old one out, and the battery try certainly is long enough for a group 27. Was the 27 and option with an upgraded alternator or some such thing, and the tray has to be long enough for both?

    Stupid Key Question

I have both a 64 Belvedere and a 65 Newport. Getting some new keys made, bought the blanks off ebay. Didn't realize the two pics are not "quite" the same, either pentastar orientation, or the grooves are tiny bit different. Is one for 65 and one for 64? Is this just a PITA aftermarket...

    1965 Newport Paint

Continuation of some discussion on another thread, but this is paint specific. I have spent a bit of time going through posts (yes, also the paint sticky), and there is a lot of information, but not a lot of DO THIS, or DONT DO THIS, a lot of "it depends". So, my case.... My car is originally...

    Fender Data Plate Help

So, after decoding, the following questions: Under TRM R=9 which says special order or leather. Was leather an option in the Newport this year? Also, second row Q2 says "astrophonic delux am", what's this "astrophonic"? Is there any place that sells a replica MSRP if I give the VIN number?

    Paint code mystery

Thanks guys for your help. From looking at a lot of paint chips and other cars, the original paint in the engine compartment and under trunk is indeed Mist Blue FF-1 with a very slight green tinge. The car was clearly repainted in either Naussau Blue DD-1 or some other non-Chrysler similar...

    Paint code mystery

I didn't catch this previously, good input. Would the interior color be on the data plate somewhere?
