That car is not original. The engine has caught fire multiple times, there’s ‘69 Sport Fury emblems on the C pillars and the speedometer says Police Interceptor and then there’s the factory built 383 6 barrel setup.

To bad that Carlisle doesn’t know what’s wrong with this car.

That is why I said to swap the seats only. to clarify, separate the seat frames with the adjuster from the seats themselves. They bolt together. This way the adjuster is on the correct side and won’t interfere with the transmission tunnel.

Yes, swap just the seats but not the seat brackets that bolt to the floor. A reclining seat was an option on some years for the passenger seat.

Have you checked your tires? Sometimes they will crack inside the tread or develop a bulge on the inner side wall. I have also experienced tires having a tread shift. You would look at the tire tread from directly in front of the tread and make sure that the tread is 100% vertical.

Have you looked through a copy of the Chrysler Parts Book or the Service Manual to see if the part is even listed. If you strike out finding a new gear, I have a power seat assembly that I would sell.
