Carb and manifold swap - that question again

Great info from you as always. I will go over all the points you mentioned. Yeah, I'm not looking for more punch out of the motor, just looking for it to run right. I had a lot of carbon and gunk all built up in the manifold, the carb has been rebuilt twice and was pointed out to me that its...

Carb and manifold swap - that question again

I have a pure stock 383 in my 65 SF. I'm doing this mod because my original carb is just worn out. I've had it rebuilt twice and even the shop said it took a beating from the new gas. It's just time to make a change. I'll go with the Performer, seems like the best choice. I have no...

Carb and manifold swap - that question again

Weight, age, gunk, it's made of iron, heat issues, larger port design, better performance matchup to the new carb. I don't have the equipment to properly clean it, and sending it out for mods and cleaning will cost almost as much as buying a new one here in NY.

Carb and manifold swap - that question again

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well with our "old timers" and our "newbies" are enjoying this great community. So I've decided to swap out my original Carter and manifold to a new setup. I bought a Eddy 1906 already and am considering 3 manifolds. I have a stock motor and have no...

    Possible skirt stay pin replacement?

Finally got a moment to compare the parts against the original pins.... It's a fair comparison, but will need some cutting and grinding to make it fit properly. Also, the threaded portion is shorter, but should still fit considering the metal is fairly thin. I stead of the original nut, I...

    Possible skirt stay pin replacement?

Lol.. I couldn't think of a better description for it. Do I at least get a "E" for effort. Lmfao.

    Possible skirt stay pin replacement?

I'll be back in my garage next week. So I'll be able to size it up with some pics as well. But damn if it is t really close just by eye.

    Possible skirt stay pin replacement?

I think it's 3 on each side? Mine were rust welded and all broke when I took off the skirts to put on the new rims and tires.

    Possible skirt stay pin replacement?

I came across these in the packaging of a stackable shoe/shelf storage unit I bought in Walmart. Looks about right, I can grind down and paint to fit. Essentially it's the bottom pin that you screw into the upper unit when you stack them up. All I need are some lock nuts from Ace Hardware and...

65 Fury Lower control arm rebuilt/Stiffener?

The "stiffener" is just a plate that is welded on that strengthens the control arm.

65 Fury Lower control arm rebuilt/Stiffener?

...with greasable lower control arm pins? Or did you stay with stock? I'm still putting this all together and looking to take the car apart very soon, so still in the "thinking about" phase. Thanks! *** nevermind... I see they're only for POLY bushing, which they don't sell for the C-Body LCA.

65 Fury Lower control arm rebuilt/Stiffener?

Thank you both for the quick responses. I'm definitely interested in both. Figured they were all a little different in some way, but without a side-by-side, I had no idea how. Craig: I'll get the car up on jack stands and list what I need. I've done a lot already, but now it's all down to...

65 Fury Lower control arm rebuilt/Stiffener?

Hello everyone. I've been planning on doing my entire front end and came across this nice kit for E and B bodies that PST sells. I really like their products and would like to have this for my Sport Fury. Quesition being, are the lower control arms the same for all models, or did MoPar make...

    Stalls when put into gear

Hiya buddy. It's been a while. I hope all is well with you. I don't want to hijack this thread. I'll answer you, but ouof courtesy to the OP, I'll post a new one. "Fluffy black". Lol... they're all carbon fouled, but I just can't seem to get the mixture right. What direction turning the...

    Stalls when put into gear

I'm watching this as I'm having the exact same problem. Engine lopes like crazy, plugs are black as night. I sense a fuel issue, but I've tried almost everything under the sun to get it right.

No problem. I don't think the OP is around anyway... I was looking for the two rear pillar lower trim pieces. The long chrome side pieces at the base corner of the rear window. If you have them, or have access to them, I'd be interested if they're not total trash.
