+1 for the FURYGT regulator. and everything he said. upgrade your whole charging circuit. and all you have to do is ground 1 wire out to ALT body like he said. there is a pic of mine done up here somewhere in this forum. somewhere.

i dont think these are for a 383 tho. but i bet there are some. somewhere. interesting design to me - they floated 1 tube totally its completely by itself.
it is a old stock weighs a ton starter yes its original - i guess it may tighten down once hooked up - i dunno i am doing what ive never done before so i was scared of breaking it, this forum is the only place i have for knowledge. id swap to a mini-starter but this one works so i can apply that...

on this starter, the post is loose:
the big post is not flush and is wobbly. How can i correct it? it does not feel like it threads in and I never messed with a starter before so i figured i better ask before i break it :)

I think its called dash mat and it was recommended from here on this forum. yes it was shaped for the dash, and once in place, further conformed to shape.
you gonna have to get your own lizard tho.

on the cheep a dash mat, it sorta forms to the shape of the dash and looks 10 thousand times better than a ragged out dashpad
my posse was rollin shotgun today, stayin in the draft. stick n move.
if this is just a driver, patch it with that pookey after you treat the rust. don't just poky it, it will be worse sooner than later.
if this is any kind of a keeper car, get it fixed now. don't wait.
