    Remember when?

Denver’s local independent TV station showed Family Affair reruns in the late ’70s - early ’80s. That’s where/when I watched it as a kid. Speaking of getting old:

    I kept getting, um, distracted.

Oh, why? I wouldn’t be caught dead driving a “regular” Cybertruck.

“Zero emission vehicles burning…” Now there’s an oxymoron.

Wherever that is, that water looks seriously DEEP relative to the width of the channel.

And what should I encounter right after posting the above comment: To GPS, “Here’s your sign.”

Thanks! Was that photo taken in Australia? I’m basing that on the white sedan (Ford Fairlane?) to the kids’ right.

    Remember when?

My parents got to say that, not the 20 miles part, but the fact that they grew up in Winnipeg—including the winter. They deprived me of similar stories. I don’t have kids, but do drive a school bus. “A C-body Chrysler with a potent V-8, heater, a/c, radio” just doesn’t have the same effect...

“Why are you going this way? Didn’t you see that ‘Dead End’ sign?” “Relax! The GPS shows this is the way to go. It’s a through highwa…oh ****!”

The concept doesn’t sound bad—especially when the weather forecast says “hot and humid” ad nauseam, but seeing the word “tingle” in this context…:wideyed:

How do they get the windshields (and other curved glass) for these chopped roofs? If they can make them for one-off cars, what about rare production ones that supposedly are irreplaceable?

Ooh, ahh, 256 whole kilobytes of RAM! The things that impressed us back then (as I tap out this text on a checkbook-size device that runs in gigabytes). Those computer and hard-drive prices are lower than the dollar amount that I paid for my T&C—not even adjusted for inflation. I remember the...

    Remember when?

 My, how times have changed. I found on Reddit an even more recent package dated 1966. (Just different package colors and a ZIP code replacing the zone number.) Had I been born ten years earlier, someone might have thought these were a great gift—and I would’ve kvetched that the...

A ’62 Chrysler proved tougher than the ’57 Chevy in this front-rear fender bender.

Why piss off just one customer when you can piss off two? I wonder if the 5th Ave. owner is on the F-M-J forum.

From reddit.com/r/justrolledintotheshop/ Customer en route to shop after being told his Nissan was ready; he was just around the corner when shop called again and said, “…come back tomorrow.”
