How many 1971 Plymouth Sport Fury GT"s are left ?

Thanks to @Fratzog for posting a resto video for PP23U1D1401114 -- a GC8 SFGT that was previously owned by Mr. B. Smith in Washington State. Here is the car under his ownership, as seen in the SFGT registry: Clearly, the numbers plate is the same as seen in the YT restoration video...

    Another Disc brake question.

Save yourself some grief and get the dual diaphragm booster when you install front discs. Here is the reason. Drum brakes require about 400 PSI and that is about all you can get from your single diaphragm booster. Discs require almost 900 PSI. Chrysler fixed this problem for us when they started...

    1971 Sport Fury GT

This "barn find" being restored is PP23U1D1401114 as confirmed by the number plate from Washington State. Here is the fender tag of this superb numbers-matching SFGT PS: Interestingly, there is another SFGT at the end of the video:

For Sale 1968 chrysler imperial convertible parting out!

Simply tragic...there are so many super rare parts there. Are the plastic trims still of the bottom of the seats?

    Another Disc brake question.

Good morning, all. I'm considering doing a Scarebird front disc brake conversion on my 68 Newport. I have recently, within the last two years had my brake booster rebuilt, (booster Dewey). It has less than 1k miles on it. My question is...is it absolutely necessary to use a disc brake booster...

The Big Bluebowski - 1971 Polara

Sweet ride, and i do like the pics, keep em' coming. The more i drive my 2dr Newport, the more i wish it was a 4dr ! Keep rollin' and don't give up, you have a good car to start off with, and that's a very big plus.

    72 Newport/front sway bar

From much earlier times, it has been more desirable for the front end of the vehicle to slide first in a fast cornering maneuver. That gets the driver's attention as they can see and hear it coming from tire sounds of slippage, so they reflexively slow down to stop/decrease the tire sounds...

    Door Panel repair

From reading that thread a while ago, I saw that you used construction adhesive to fasten the steel top to the board and did that myself. Thanks for that!

    Door Panel repair

I had to remove the Masonite from the steel on my car too, and it is not difficult, but you must be patient and take your time. I replaced the Masonite with abs plastic. You can see it on my project page - Elwood. A 68 Fury II 4 door sedan. Here (post #36): Elwood - 1968 Fury II 4 door sedan

Ouch! The one above the wheel lip scares me because that I won’t be convinced that it’s not coming through from the inside.

    Inaccurate speedometer

...The police Certified speedometers have a different one that has a slightly different material that offers the same resistance from like 32* F to 100* F (inside the car, obviously) for a +/- variance from the actual road speed (with the spec tire size, of course) of ONE mph. The clockspring's...

    Inaccurate speedometer

The odometer is directly connected to the drive cable, so there's no adjustment except to change the gear. The speedometer, on the other hand, can be adjusted. The speedometer works by a spinning magnet and while I've never gotten that deep into it, it's a matter of adjusting the spring that...
