    4 speed driving issues

That's what I was thinking about hte carb being too big, if it's on the edge of the off-idle transition slots (due to some mis-tuning?) it might make some surging that you wouldn't feel with an AT because the torque converter absorbs it. With a MT, that cushion is missing. (@LocuMob - that's...

    4 speed driving issues

An 800 is a pretty big carb for a 383 unless it's been modified enough to need it. In which case, at 2k rpm it might not be happy to be in a large car. 3k rpm should be awake enough to not have any jerking, though.

    Hello

Welcome! @LocuMob has a 4-speed car in WI. He'll be closer to you than I am. I have a 4-speed Sport Fury since 1992/93. It is a forever project. Also - post your car in here as an owner: FCBO Four Speed Owners Registry And also in here, which is for general sightings: Factory...

    Wrong windshield gasket?

Everything in my last post is just trying to connect dots (pun intended). I have a new gasket from Precision (Big_John's link earlier) and it's due to ship Nov 7 (that date has slipped a few times, but it seems stable for the last few weeks). When it arrives, we may have some more clues to this...

    Wrong windshield gasket?

The 'dot' is likely a molding gate, and there would be several around the whole gasket (maybe 4 or 8 of them?) so I don't think you can depend on its presence in that location as any proof. If the gasket is reversed, it might still have a gate in that location when you look at it. BTAIM...

    Door Panel repair

Looks like somebody might've polished the metal bits also, to make the vinyl repair look all the much better.

    O MY

Good idea on the tape, I forget that there are good products out there. A wooden template could be routed out that the letters fit into to help with alignment.

    O MY

I've sometimes wondered about the potential of making hood letters (or simple emblems) out of aluminum on my CNC router. The OEM font could be duplicated, or something else if desired. There'd be no way to duplicate the pins/studs, though, so they'd need to attach with small #2 or #4 stainless...

A roof painted to match the interior, with some lace or scallops in it, would be a nice touch. (kinda like you drew) To me the flames are distracting, not flattering, to the rest of the car.

    Spindles!

Aftermarket rotors have been made as unicast for many years. The 69-72 rotors were once $150-200 if you could find them, but are back in the market and price is lower. The 69-72 rotors are $63-118 on RA, 1973 rotors are $34-65. So there isn't the need to find 1973 parts as in years past...

NOT MINE 1970 Plymouth Fury III 2-dr 318 $22k CAD / $16k USD Kitchener Ontario

Never tell the trim-shop guy 'I dunno, stitch up some seatcovers that you think willl look good'. Joking aside, it's a nicely-done street machine, and the price isn't bad for a restored car that seems to need nothing.

NOT MINE 1969 Chrysler 300 Convertible $6,000 Henderson, NV

I think a good cleanout and wash-job would help it a lot. You know - like the seller should've done. The passenger doorpanel looks quite decent. The rest of the car might be better than the pics would suggest.

'66 C-Body Kickdown/Throttle Linkage Pops off/Disconnects at Upper Bell Crank When Start Accelerate/Shift Down

Does the linkage popoff coincide with the trans shifting, or motion of the KD linkage? Does this trans have PTK (part-throttle kickdown)? Is the trans (or valve body) a 71-newer? (do you need FT to get a 3-2 downshift?) Can it pop off when doing upshifts, or when downshifts, or both? Either by...
