What's best way to hook up hei Disburtor

Not to be a smart ***, but why exactly are you going through all this when the mopar system is tried and true? They were designed for your car, Simple to work on, cheap to fix and very rarely let you down. Aside from a ballast resistor here or there, they are bullet proof. These after market...

Stong battery, NO headlights, NO start???

Run a jumper from the bulkhead connector to the ignition switch. As long there is power on the inside of the car. The one that goes to the ammeter usually red or brown and very heavy gauge, it runs from the bulkhead connector to the ammeter then to the ignition switch. It will be the fattest...

    clock restoration

I agree, My 67 Imperial had that issue. With just a little time and patience, got it working great! Did it on a bunch of my old Mopars. As long as the kicker/reset solenoid is working usually a point filing and some cleaning and lube will do it.

Anyone find installing MSD unit worthwhile?

Put a stock Chrysler electronic ignition in it and call it a day. As they used to say... " the more you over think the plumbing, the easier it is to stop up the drain."

    No power

Mine was out for the first two years in my imp. Got to it when I had the chance. Luckily I've had them apart before and it just needed a good lube job.

    No power

Somebody must have messed with the clock. It should click once then a spring keeps it going till the contacts touch then a solenoid kicks and resets the spring. Takes about a minute and a half in my '67 Imperial. They must have something frigged up. I can't imagine what's wrong. Good thing you...

    Twilight Sentinel

My first 73 Imperial had both. The dimmer sensor didn't look anything like that one. It was behind the grill flat black, the sensor itself was small at the back of tunnel, if you will, with adjustments for left-right and up-down. The auto-dimmer never did work properly, but the twilight and timer...

    Edelbrock 1406 electric choke pos

On my '67 Imperial I got mine from the feed to the voltage regulator. Very short run, almost next to it. My ballast was on the drivers side, this was on the passenger side

    Ready to run electronic distributors.

I guess I just don't get it... the Chrysler electronic ignition system is tried and true, I guess I'm an if it's not broke don't fix it guy. IMHO. When I look under a hood of a car and see these other units it kinda irritates me, and they would lose points if I was a judge. The original systems...

Tried the Zevo Slyvania LED 1157 bulbs.

I was thinking about this conversion, but after all the pluses and minuses I've read here, I think I'll stand pat with the originals. I don't drive that much at night anyway and I could find a lot better use for a hundred bucks per car. If I did the switch on all my cars, I'd dump better than...

Tried the Zevo Slyvania LED 1157 bulbs.

We don't have the third light like 99.9% of cars do today. My 67 Imperial has damn near 6 feet of tailight across the back. It don't need no stinkin' third brake light. Lol

For ignition issues, ALWAYS CHECK THE ALTERNATOR TOO!

I have no idea who that is in his avatar, or who Randy-poo is. LOL
