The crappy years? There were some cool Mopar cars from 1975-1991 (pre-viper), so list 'em!

Chrysler's Canadian design studio went out of business in 2014, replaced by USA models. Since these Canadian cars were much like the USA equivalent, why didn't Chrysler sell these down in the USA as an upgraded trim option? Seems like a waste of money.

    Wiper blades/refills/ Electronic fuel pump.

Nice pics. You should have put that Fiat in your carry on and taken it home. Doesn't the NY and 300 use the same wipers? I found some Anco black wipers on Ebay for the 1965 300. They also have the chrome wipers without the blades. I thought the blades come out by pushing in the small...

I forgot how popular Mopars were down under, and that the Hemi didn't die in 1971. In 1971-1981 Austrailia Chrysler made 3 versions of the Hemi 6, highest hp was 302hp in 1971. By 1981, the highest output Hemi 6 was downgraded to 203hp. Still respectful in a time since most V8's were around...

Not a car, but I live 2 miles from Lake Erie, so I like boats too. Chrysler Marine made fun, sporty, little boats which lasted from 1965-1984. Although last boat was sold in 1979, engine mfr continued until 1984, but I think Chrysler kept making outboard engines under other competitor's names...

    Engine Dies

That jogged my memory Sir Dodge. I had to change my ignition switch. Would die, but I was able to start it. Good call. Could be ign switch or even a weak electrical link somewhere.

    Engine Dies

If you go with a Petronix kit, I first started with Petronix 1 which ran better than points. I figured Petronix 3 would be great, but car always ran weird. I couldn't dial it in, so I tried the Petronix 2 and works great with low ohm coil. Test for worn bushing first on old distributor...

1969 300 CONVERTIBLE GLASS REAR WINDOW

Not sure but I think the original had a slight curve like in pic. Car ad said car is a survivior and all original, but he could have had top replaced. What does your look like?

    Corrosion

I replaced mine with a better used one and still had problems on these bumpy Cleveland roads. Ended up soldering some connections together. Mopar just didn't know how to make strong electrical connections back then.

    Engine Dies

When I changed mine to a Petronix kit, my coil got hot and died. But when it died, it blew the mufflers off with a massive backfire. Coil was sizzling. So I got rid of my ballast all together and have been running a low .6 ohm coil but high voltage of 45,000 volts with no problems for over...

These factory racing cars kits were sold thru dealers and direct connection. I think only 1974-1977, but you would have to put the car together (for insurance and lawsuit reasons). Only about 100 kits were sold. These weren't legal for the street and I don't think the complete cars came with a...

I like those little Champs and Colts. Its too bad there hasn't been any improvement past 50mpg in the last 30yrs. Last car that was just engine (no electrics) which realistically got over 50mpg that I know of was the Geo Metro's of the mid 90's. With insurance companies pushing govt for more...

Thanks for the correction. After some research, I found the 1957 Rambler "Electrojector" was the first electronic fuel injection production car....but I think all of them were soon recalled and replaced with carbs. Then there was the electronic fuel injection on the 1957 Corvette, but that was...

1974-1979 Dodge M880 thru M893. These were US Army hand me downs to the National Guard thru the mid 1990's. The Guard was phasing them out and replacing them with hand me down Chevy Blazers when I served. I remember although old and beat up, they would start pretty much everytime and not as...

1970 300 - Is replacing the power steering seals as easy as it looks in the pics?

Bummer. I saw some guy take one apart on a workbench on YT, but he said he didn't know what he was doing. Looks like once the top nut and locknut is off, (I can get to these easily), the steel dome dust cover might twist off and then get a pick to take out the O ring seal but I don't want to...

1970 300 - Is replacing the power steering seals as easy as it looks in the pics?

From the 1970 service manual. Anyone do this? I can't tell if its just leaking from the top nut or locknut or both? It looks like you just take the top nut off to replace the top seal, then the locknut to replace the O ring seal. Easy, or not? I know I'll have to play with the top nut to...

Anyone notice the original "crossover" vehicles are all gone. 2 door cars that were a mix of family car, muscle car and luxury car (and tricked everyone believing you were still single) Today, its all 4 doors or specialized muscle cars today. (Sorry but whenever I see a new Dodge charger or...
